Schogetten Assortment of German Pre-Selected Chocolates (Bundle of 6 bars)

After reading about changes to American chocolate, decided to look for healthier options. Based on quality and price of this product I feel my money was well spent. Also customer service reached out the same day with a follow up answer to my question. Only minor issue was the ice pack was too small to keep items from melting, but then again we're melting from the heat too. Would buy again

i prefer european chocolates for lower amount of sugar to overwhelm the total taste. only tried caramel brownie so far. a bit too sweet for my liking but its caramel wha would one expect. looking forward to the other ones. these chocolates are not giftable at all. bound together by a piece of tape which tore the paper wrapping when coming off. the bundle came in a bubble envelope that didnt do much. the caramel brownie broke into small squares inside the foil. foil was all right though.

I like these flavors, I kept mine frozen and broke off parts at times when I am in the mood for a sweet.

Let's get the first part out of the way, the milk chocolates. The reason I don't like the Milk Chocolate or the Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts bars is because they used powdered milk. Whatever their reasoning, it leaves a terrible aftertaste that anyone who as actually tried dry milk would recognize immediately. Worst of all, it lingers long after you've finished. This was really unfortunate because I ordered this package specifically for the milk chocolates. Fortunately, the rest of the chocolates made up where the milk chocolates left off.One thing I really enjoy about these chocolates is they come in individual pieces instead of a solid bar that needs to be broken apart. Each bar contains eighteen pieces of square chocolates and measures a little less than 7-inches by 3-inches. They are packaged in a small, but sturdy cardboard box that should help keep the chocolates from breaking during transit. I wouldn't trust it to keep the chocolates from melting in the summer, however.The White Chocolate contains the cocoa butter creaminess with the delicious sweetness you will love. The Black and White was a surprisingly good addition to the lineup. The Black and White is a bit different than I expected It has a taste of creamy vanilla and while the chocolate covers a creamy center, you don't notice the change while the piece is in your mouth. A few crunchy crumbles finish the center. Really great flavors overall. Similar to this is the caramel flavored bar with a strong caramel flavor instead of the vanilla. I'm not much of a dark chocolate guy so that was a gift. While these bars also contained milk powder, they didn't have the same dry milk aftertaste.The search for a delicious milk chocolate bar continues...
