Love Happy Mouth bits!
We really love the happy mouth line of bits. They keep our ponies happy. This is one of many we own and met my expectations exactly. They hold up well and are appreciated by young horses.

Great first bit
Bought this as a first bit for my 3 year old Arabian. He seemed to like it and it has held up well so far he chewed it the first time as young horses do and not a mark on it. The 5 inch seems to fit his mouth just fine.

Good but...
My horse seems to like the bit however I noticed sharp edges developed after just 3 rides. I hoped the bit would last a little longer before it needed maintenance intervention

Horse and rider enjoy Happy Mouth bit
My new Warmblood Skyfall seems glad to have his Happy Mouth bit. Since he is 16.1 and I am 4'11" he can lift his head beyond my reach. The loose ring bit allows me to unfasten the near side from the bridle, put the bridle on bit dangling, and then put the bit in his mouth and refasten it to the bridle. So I am quite happy with our Double jointed loose ring Happy Mouth bit.

Did not last
I've had this bit for 6 weeks, and my mare is ridden 3 times a week for 20 - 40 minutes or so. This bit DID NOT last - the plastic is already damaged and dangerous. I DO NOT recommend.

Great bit
I love the double jointed happy mouth bits. The pony likes it much better than previous bits.

Horses like it but it falls apart quickly
I have several horses that like this bit, but it is way too expensive for how quickly the plastic gets sharp around the joints and has to be replaced, even for horses that don’t chomp or play with the bit a lot. I’ve switched my horses from this Happy Mouth to Fager and Bomber titanium bits for this reason - they’re expensive but you only have to buy them once, not every 3-6 months.

Love this bit
I have a very high anxiety, sensitive mare. This was the perfect bit.
