Stay cold longer
When they first arrived, I was like "What the ..." Thin sheets of sealed compartments filled with a tiny bit of powder. Then I "Read the instructions" soaked them in water and WOW do they puff up. I did not weight them before and after but based on size and feel, they seem to be of a larger water/ice mass than my previous sheets of liquid water pillows. Larger cold mass means stays cold longer and they do seem to keep my insulated lunch box nice and cold all day.

Did what needed to be done
Make sure you read the directions! If you do not make sure the outside of the ice is dry prior to placing in the freezer, they will stick together!! They did keep my perishable food frozen until it got to its final destination.

Worked great...for 2 months
Worked great...for two months. After that, the ice packs deflated, wouldn't re-inflate or re-freeze and were completely worthless.
