Tastes great!!
The chocolate flavor of Premier Protein’s 30g powder is excellent. It mixes smoothly with almond milk and comes out rich, creamy, and without any chalky texture. It’s one of the easiest protein powders I’ve used — no clumping, no gritty aftertaste, just a clean blend every time.Nutritionally, it’s a great choice. Each serving delivers 30g of protein, low sugar, and moderate calories, making it perfect for post‑workout recovery or as a meal supplement. The macros are well‑balanced, and the added vitamins and minerals make it more complete than many other protein powders. Overall, great taste, great mixability, and strong nutritional value.

Excellent Value- macro math, cost, taste, results (and a delicious shake recipe!)
Yes- the math is great- 30g of protein, 1g of sugar, 2g fat, 150 calories per serving (2 scoops). And yes, there are similar products with similar nutritional metrics, but I go for Premier Protein for several reasons: 1. Cost. $.93/ounce is highly competitive, despite mainstream product overhead and really nice packaging. Premier Protein is significantly cheaper than Dymatize ISO100 at $1.55/ounce, Optimum Nutrition at $1.37/ounce, and many other similar brands that check some of the same boxes. 2. Consistency. I have consumed in excess of 20 pounds over the past few years. Every tub has the same consistency, same quantity (irritatingly underfilled like ALL of these products), and tastes exactly the same (see 3.). 3. Taste. The Chocolate Milkshake flavor is aaahhhhhhmazing! My shakes taste like regular chocolate shakes- rich, creamy, flavorful with NO chemical bite or off putting whey overtones. (My delicious macro-bomb recipe is below.) 4. Fill-factor. After a 32 oz shake I feel full. Yes- Boyle's law holds and pressure is directly correlated to volume. However, the full feeling lingers for many hours. I have NOT had the same prolonged satiation with other protein powder options. 5. Results/Performance. I am not a nutritional expert, trainer, fitness model, body builder, or beach ego-manic. I'm a regular, middle-aged guy who is in pretty good shape and wants to stay that way. I refuse to lose tone, strength, and mass without a fight. So... after a recent back surgery and a desire to rebuild size and strength efficiently, I changed my daily workouts and my daily nutrition that now includes a midday shake- one per day, every day. I have experienced noticeable gains in muscle size and density as well as strength- particularly big muscle groups in shoulders, back, and legs (sorry- no pictures! ;) ). My 470 calorie / 56g protein shake recipe: -------------------------------------------------- Fill 32 ounce blender cup halfway with ice, then add: - 40g (2 scoops) of Premier Protein Chocolate Milkshake - 1 teaspoon of raw, unsweetened powdered cocoa - 3g of creatine monohydrate (if you add creatine, up your hydration- drink tons of water! Here's a link for a good option: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCCNKD73?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1) - 3g of marine collagen peptides (bovine collagen is arguably better with different macros if you can consume mammalian food products) - 1 large raw egg (appropriate cautions if you have concerns about raw foods) - 1 medium banana (optional, but I find it adds a tiny bit of sweetness and more creaminess) - 1/2 cup of skim milk (skip if dairy is an issue, but DO NOT substitute with nut/vegetable "milks." Shake will still be creamy)) - 2 tablespoons of vanilla Greek yogurt (as above, skip if dairy is an issue) - pinch of Celtic salt if you want to neutralize some of the sweetness Top with cold water, blend and enjoy! Soooooooooo good. TIP: If you want some texture in your shake, try adding a tablespoon of bittersweet chocolate chips or cacao nibs before blending. Yes, it adds a few calories, but not enough to create a guilt-flog impulse!

Best Protein Powder I've Found in Years
I've been drinking protein shakes for a long time, and my all-time favorite was the original Muscle Milk powder from about 20 years ago. Ever since that formula disappeared, I've been trying different brands looking for something that comes close. While it is not exactly the same, Premier Protein Chocolate Milkshake is one of the better powders I've found. The flavor is rich without being overly sweet, and it mixes easily with water or milk. Most importantly, it does not have the chalky texture or strange aftertaste that ruins a lot of protein powders for me. I use it as a quick breakfast, after workouts, or when I need extra protein during the day. The 30 grams of protein and low sugar content are a nice bonus. It also sits well on my stomach, which is something I pay attention to when trying new powders. If you're someone who misses the old-school Muscle Milk formulas, this is worth a try. Nothing has completely replaced those for me, but this has earned a spot in my pantry and I'll keep buying it.

Middle of the road powder
I am very slowly working my way through every protein powder on Amazon, and I'm about ten years into doing so. This is a typical powder - not too sweet, not chalky, no protein bitterness, mixes relatively thin, no gastro issues. It could probably be a bit more chocolaty, I wouldn't mind that, but it's not a major issue. Middle of the road. I use protein for maintenance, not bulking, and this supports the sets well. I always mix my shake with 5g creatine and 5g psyllium husk, and about 12oz of water in a 21oz shaker cup. It could do with being thicker, but that can be accomplished via adding less water. Letting it sit doesn't seem to appreciably affect thickness. It mixes readily in the shaker cup with a wire ball, I only occasionally have extra powder up in the lid, and rarely have clumps so long as I mix it within 60s of adding the powder to the cup. Since I add psyllium fiber, my shake is more prone to clumping, I doubt it would be much of an issue with the powder alone. It's a decent value in terms of protein per dollar, usually I go for 5lb tubs but this beat them in $/g protein at the time of purchase. It's also nice to have three separate containers, so the other two remain sealed while you are working your way through them. I have a shake 6x week, so my powder doesn't have time to go off even in the summer, but if you take longer then the individual containers may be more suitable. Basically, if you want a simple protein powder for maintenance and recovery, this is a good choice. It's a nice little treat without leaving a sugary residue in your mouth, and is a decent value. I'd recommend it.

Chocolate dreams really do come true.
If you’re stuck in that eternal struggle of “I want to eat chocolate for every meal but also not hate myself later,” allow me to introduce your new best friend: Premier Protein Chocolate Powder. This stuff is the savior for chocolate lovers who ghost carbs like a bad ex. Rich, deeply chocolatey flavor that actually tastes like real cocoa—not that watered-down, chemical-adjacent sadness you get from other brands. What really sets it apart is the texture and mixability. It dissolves beautifully in both hot and cold liquids (no weird clumps staging a rebellion at the bottom of your shaker). And the consistency? Chef’s kiss. Way thicker and richer than the competition, turning your average shake into something that feels almost decadent. My husband starts his day by stirring it into his morning coffee like a civilized caffeine fiend, creating a mocha situation that keeps him full and happy. Meanwhile, I’ve been using it to whip up ridiculously good protein ice cream in the Ninja Creami—creamy, chocolatey, low-carb heaven that makes me feel like I’m cheating on my diet without actually cheating. Verdict: 9.7/10. If you love chocolate but your jeans don’t, Premier Chocolate Protein Powder is here to rescue you. Stock up, blend happily, and embrace your new chocolate-coated life. Your taste buds will thank you and Your macros will high-five you. Highly recommend.

Very good chocolate shake
This powder makes a great protein shake. I've tried several brands and flavors in the past and this is by far the best. It dissolves in water easily and I find that the two scoops mixes for me a perfect drink with 18 oz of water. The chocolate flavor is better then all the other brands that I've tried.

BEST TASTING PROTEIN POWDER!
I've tried all different brands of high protein powders, and I always come back to this one! It can be used in a variety of ways. I use it as a powder creamer in my coffee. It dissolves fine when mixed well, is easy to drink, tastes good, goes down well, and does not cause me any GI issues. The ingredients are pretty norm as compared to other brands, and I think it's the best bang for my buck.

Not super chocolatey. Great price though.
It's smooth, but not super chocolatey. It fills me up and is pretty versatile. When I use it, no matter how I use it, I always feel the need to add additional chocolate flavor to supplement. It's a great price for what it's worth.

Brilliant chocolate taste and lovely texture, no lumps, easy to mix.
I was a bit worried about this as Ive brought other protein powder in the past. I needn't have worried this powder is brilliant. Easy to mix, tastes like chocolate not some horrible artificial sweetener and no protein taste. It's is so good, I am glad to have finally found a product I won't be posting on the local pay it forward site.

Tastes Great & Fuels My Day and A Must-Have for My Routine!
I’ve tried quite a few protein powders over the years, but Premier Protein’s chocolate whey powder really stands out. First of all, the taste is fantastic, smooth, rich, and actually enjoyable, like a light chocolate milkshake, without the chalky aftertaste some powders have. Each serving delivers 30g of high-quality protein with just 150 calories and only 1g of sugar, which fits perfectly into my diet goals. Whether I’m using it as a post-workout shake or a quick breakfast on busy mornings, it keeps me full and energized for hours. It also mixes easily with water—no clumps or fuss, just two scoops into 200ml and it’s ready. I sometimes blend it with ice and almond milk for an even creamier texture. If you’re looking for a great-tasting, low-sugar protein powder that delivers on both flavor and nutrition, this one’s a winner. Definitely repurchasing!
