Saw on Shark Tank and bought it in hopes that it would help with my significant other’s hiccups (his last forever and really hurt him). We have both used the straw, along with our daughter and son, and we have all had success with it. It is terrific! It is also really easy to carry around although I do wish it came with a carrying case/bag. I know that is perhaps an odd comment that I carry this straw around in me 24/7 (lol) but I store mine in my purse and am considering actually getting another one (maybe even more) so that we have them at home and on-the-go for when the hiccups hit (like I said, hiccups are unusually painful for my SO, having this on-hand has proven to be a great relief to him). As mentioned, it would be great if they could actually send it with a pouch to keep it in but for the price and the benefit, this has been amazing and is absolutely worth it. Fyi, I also hear it helps with “cancer hiccups”. I do not know this from personal experience but saw comments on the SubReddit for Shark Tank when I was considering purchasing the product that conveyed how grateful purchasers were to provide a loved one battling cancer with this straw that greatly decreased the time the patient was hiccuping. I thought that was pretty amazing if it could work for people with cancer. Thankfully my wonderful nephew had JUST “beat” cancer before I came across this product but I really wish I had came across this item so much sooner so that I could have purchased it for him since, when I asked him if “cancer hiccups” were a “thing” (not trying to be rude, you hopefully understand what I mean as he did), he confirmed that these dreadful nuisances were absolutely real. Apparently they had actually caused him a lot of additional discomfort and so I really wish I’d known to get them but I will from now on and hopefully these straws will somehow become mainstream in hospitals and related fields. We are still amazed every time it promptly “cures” the hiccups. My SO has tried so many different remedies (granted, I’m not sure he’s ever found another product that claimed to do what this one does so I think it’s just been stuff he found online to try when hiccups hit him) and this is the only thing that has worked. The fact that I’m writing a long review means that it impacted us, positively in this case, enough that I felt I needed to share our experiences with those considering because it has just been such a huge help to us. I recommend this to anyone who is seeking relief and hasn’t gotten results elsewhere. IMO, this is actually a super cheap price to pay for the great value it provides in taking away discomfort consistently. I have R-CPD, the inability to burp, and a symptom of mine is extremely painful hiccups. I have spent my entire life with hours upon hours of painful hiccups and have gotten so sick I've had to leave work. I saw this on Shark Tank and wasn't expecting anything but figured it was worth a try since absolutely nothing had helped. Well, I used it for the first time and was SHOCKED that it worked and worked fast! Sucking water up and swallowing fast felt a little strange but it was easy to do and took away my hiccups fast and they didn't come back. This thing literally has saved me and is with me 24/7. It comes with me to work, when I go out with friends, everywhere I 100000% recommend it!

I don’t get hiccups often, but when I get them I get them for hours. I bought this about 6 months ago and I used it today for the first time. Let me tell you, in the past I have tried every method anyone has ever suggested and all without help. This worked like magic! And it was immediate! Yay for this!! Such a good buy!

I would give this straw close to 3 stars for if the hiccups are ongoing and 4 stars for regular hiccups. My husband used this straw during chemotherapy. The hiccups were caused by the strong drugs he was taking at the time. It only worked on days when the hiccups were not constant and then it would start again. My husband had to contact the doctor's office for medication which stopped the hiccups. I think it is safe and very easy to use. It is very portable and the size is good for just about anyone to use. I did not like the packaging it came in, because I think for a straw, it should have been well sealed. In my head I was thinking the straw could have already been used. I received mine 2 days after and paid for next day delivery and it is already expensive. My husband did not experience no weird taste using the straw.

I had hiccups for a week after surgery. Two doctors I went to didn't know what to do. I got this from Amazon on a 4 hour delivery that I paid an extra $2 for. It had my hiccups stopped immediately. I had to use every couple hours for the rest of the evening to keep them away, probably a dozen times. The key was that my hiccups stopped. A great invention. I will always keep one in my medicine cabinet.

I wanted this product to work, but unfortunately my experience with the HICCAWAY Hiccup Straw was disappointing. Quality: The straw itself feels well made and durable. It doesn’t feel flimsy, and the design appears intentional and thoughtfully constructed. From a materials standpoint, there’s nothing negative to say—it seems like a solid, well-produced product. Ease of use: The instructions are clear, simple, and intuitive. It’s easy to understand how to use the straw, and there’s no learning curve. From an ease-of-use perspective, this is one of the product’s strengths. Impact: Unfortunately, it did not work for me. My hiccups did not stop after using the straw as directed. I want to add an important caveat: I am a cancer patient, and my hiccups were caused by a medication side effect—specifically Zofran. In my case, the straw had no effect at all on relieving the hiccups. My experience is very specific to being a cancer patient dealing with medication-induced hiccups. If your hiccups are also a side effect of chemotherapy or medications like Zofran, I would not rely on this product and would strongly recommend consulting your doctor instead. While it may work for others with typical hiccups, it was not effective in my situation.

It's completely failed in it's objective of stopping hiccups. I tried many many times as directed. Please don't waste your money

Well I regularly get hiccups after drinking and can say after multiple attempts it didn't help. Holding my breath seems to be a lot more effective. Maybe I'm one of the 8% that it won't cure. Either way, now returned and refunded.
