Can the big scratcher plate that rests on the floor be put elsewhere as it might stick out too far? How much extra space does it use up with it on?

The big scratcher plate is at an angle and sticks out about 1 foot from the tree at the floor. I don’t know if it could be placed anywhere else. My cat only uses the smaller scratcher poles so you might not even need it

Are cat den boxes held up inside by four flimsy columns that I have to stretch the fabric to fit inside ?

No, the 4 pillars are very strong and the fur fabric is already covering every part of it that’s not a scratching post. The whole thing is very solid and I have two cats that are all the time jumping in and out of it. There is a small tape to anchor it to a wall if needed but so far I haven’t needed it as it is very sturdy. Hope this helps

will there be a visible metal plate on the fabric if i dont use the large scratcher panel that rests on the floor? Thanks

No, I don't have the scratch section attached as my cats like to jump up and there are no metal plates exposed as the metal attachments are on the scratch panel itself

How long does it take to ship a package?

I received mine in approx 2 weeks but I ordered just before Christmas so there might have been a delay
