My family plays a lot of pickleball. We like to play doubles. Yes, there are more expensive paddles, but this relatively in-expensive paddle actually performs well. My oldest son has a really nice paddle, but keeps taking this one since he likes that it is light-weight and has a cool look. The grip is good and will keep the paddle in your hand even when sweaty. Not sure yet how durable the paddle is, but so far it is holding up well.

Excellent for beginners and even more experienced players. It’s just a solid paddle.

Joola makes a number of high priced paddles. Some what of an elite brand I figured some of that quality would rub off on an entry level priced paddle. So far I think my logic was correct. Compared to my previous paddle this is a banger. Clearly more POP. Hit on the sweet spot and you get the strong loud POP that I like. Joola white handle looks premium... but is already showing some staining and this is from indoor play. Weight is fine but the paddle does feel 'small'? Possibly because of the handle which is maybe a 1/2 inch shorter and a bit thinner than my previous paddle. IF I decide to return the paddle, the length of the grip will be the reason. So far I have found the ribs on the grip on one side of the paddle fit my hand well. That has become my front, attack side. If I reverse the paddle, my hand does not fit well. Raised ribs land in the wrong place. I never noticed the front / back grip difference on my previous paddle. I do wish Joola had added a nice Joola cover. It would have felt more premium, less basic, and I would have gladly paid an extra $10 or so. Guess that makes me a name dropper? I may demo another brand or two before finally deciding if the Joola Essentials is a keeper.

As someone fairly new to pickleball, I wanted a paddle that was easy to handle but still had solid performance — and this JOOLA paddle has been perfect. The fiberglass surface gives just the right amount of pop without feeling too aggressive, and the honeycomb polypropylene core helps absorb shock really well. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and very forgiving on off-center hits.

Nice beginners lightweight paddle. Easy to use and doesnt hurt the wallet like some of these other paddles out there. Will invest in a better paddle in the future but this seems ok for me for now.

We have just gotten into pickleball and this one was on sale on Amazon, which you cannot beat! It is very durable and the size is perfect. The handle seems to be a little smaller than typical but it fits my husbands hands and doesn't seem like it would interfere with the quality of performance when playing pickleball.

Cute paddle and is good for beginners!

This is a beginner/ intermediate paddle, it’s 12 mm thick with a slight texture to it and plays very well. The only downside I would say is the handles is a little bit short.

Love this paddle with the shorter handle. Fits my hand very nicely so helps control the paddle better. There is a bit of a pop to the paddle which I prefer. It’s under 8 oz which means less strains on my arm. Completely happy with the paddle and the sale price was great

It is basically the same weight size as an adult bat. Besides the shark print. I struggle to find any difference. Ages 4 and up??? Stick to buying regular bats
