This is an adorable product! It begins fairly large and ends quite tiny. Beautifully painted and easy to hold. Each doll is different and cuter than the last! I purchased this for my eldest grand daughter who is very interested in nesting dolls. No one gave her one for Christmas, so I ordered it afterwards. She was so excited to receive it and is delighted with it! The first doll is a little tight to open but I think with usage will be easier. Better if it is not to loose! There are five in her family and five nesting dolls.

These are super cute and my daughter loves them and even our boys had fun with them. Only issue is they are a little hard to open and close they are pretty tight. Other than that they have been an entertaining gift. I would recommend.

At Christmas time my grandson loved playing with my antique Russian doll set so when I saw these they were a perfect gift for anytime quiet play. Now he plays stacking and unstacking the Russian bears everytime he comes over to visit.

Many reviewers claimed to have had problems with these sets, such as pieces not fitting together, bad paint jobs, and/or the wood being cracked on some of the dolls. Just as a precaution, I ordered two exact sets, thinking that would provide me with a better chance of being able to put together one complete set that had no damage or problems. I'm glad I did, because there were some paint and finish problems on some of the dolls, one of the dolls was cracked, and on one of the large dolls, the top and bottom were completely misshapen and COULD NOT be put together (it arrived in two pieces in the box!). At least, with two identical sets, I was able to put together one set that was actually acceptable to gift to my granddaughter, and I'm returning the damaged set, with a note describing everything that is wrong with it -- hopefully, that will prevent them from sending it out to someone else. These are cheap knockoff dolls made in China -- better to buy the ones actually made in Russia or Ukraine, which really are not that much more expensive, especially considering the difference in quality and workmanship you get for the money.

Disappointed. Very poorly made and one of the dolls was completely messed up and looked terrible. They are also poorly carved so it’s hard to get them back together.

I LOVE Matryoshka dolls, and have a set that I bought long ago from a Russian shop in San Francisco. When I started looking for dolls on Amazon, I was surprised by the variety available. And these Christmas/winter-themed nesting dolls are PERFECT! I love Christmas decorating, and these will have a place of honor in my tiny Christmas village on my mantle. Great price, too, and shipping was fast. Now I need to find some Halloween Matryoshka dolls, and I bet I find some here on Amazon.

Terrible quality. Paint missing and globs of paint in some spots. Very difficult to fit dolls together. Bottom of dolls unfinished. Two dolls have a crack up the side. If I hadn't opened them in front of my child they'd be going back.
