Reliable UPS with Some Considerations
I've been using the CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U UPS System for a few months now, and it's been a solid performer for my UNRAID server setup. Here's my take on it: Pros: Power Capacity: With 1500VA/1000W, it provides ample power backup for my essential devices, including my computer, modem, and router. I can have enough juice in the bank to allow 15 minutes for a safe shutdown of processes when under normal loads using UNRAID. Sine Wave Output: The pure sine wave output ensures that my sensitive electronics receive clean power, which is crucial for maintaining their performance and longevity. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR): The AVR feature helps stabilize minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which is great for protecting my equipment. Multiple Outlets: The eight outlets are very convenient, allowing me to connect multiple devices without needing a power strip. This is amazing in itself. Remote Management: The option for remote management via the PowerPanel software is a nice touch, especially for monitoring and managing the UPS from a distance. I prefer to still use my UNRAID management tool as it is seemless and connects with ease. I also can configure it to prevent a system shutdown if the power were to come back within a certain timeframe. This is great for those random outages in the area where it comes right back. Cons: Runtime: The runtime is relatively short, around 3.1 minutes at full load and 10.2 minutes at half load. It's enough to safely shut down my devices but not to keep them running for an extended period during a power outage. At the end of the day, it isn't a generator, it is a UPS. Weight: The unit is a bit heavy, weighing around 27 pounds (12 kilograms). This makes it a bit cumbersome to move around if needed. I suggest you put it on the bottom of your rack as it can allow for a stable mount that isn't top heavy. Initial Setup: The initial setup can be a bit tricky, especially if you're not familiar with installing UPS systems. Properly connecting all the devices and ensuring everything is working correctly took some time for me when it came to UNRAID. Luckily there are enough people who have answers to the questions I had, and it allowed me to setup everything in a day. Overall, the CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U is a reliable UPS system that provides excellent power protection and multiple features for home office use. Just keep in mind the short runtime at high loads and the weight if you plan to move it around frequently.

A good, quiet and dependable Sinewave UPS
A good, quiet and dependable Sinewave UPS. After a year of use...this is turning out to be a great rack-mount UPS. I am sold on these after using APC for many years. It is not less expensive, but I like the overall design better. Up to four CyberPowers at the home office so far, including a rack mount. All work great with no glitches.

Perfect rackmount UPS for a home server setup
This UPS fits perfectly in my server rack thanks to its short depth 2U rackmount form factor, which made installation clean and simple. It works great with Unraid, giving me reliable monitoring and safe shutdown capability when the power goes out. Most importantly, it keeps my server and network gear up and running through outages, so I don't have to worry about unexpected downtime or data corruption from a sudden loss of power. Solid build quality, pure sine wave output, and exactly what I needed for a home server rack.

Do Not Buy - The Worst "UPS" I have ever used in 40 years of IT
Do Not Buy - This battery backup does not switch over for power outages. Installed, looked good. Set to high sensitivity to carry over for fluctuations, seemed to work great. The problem. When the power actually goes out, the unit simplyshuts off and crashes all systems. I lost a NAS due to this thing. These guys are a nightmare. I am tearing this out and getting an APC or something else. Do not buy this if you depend on your gear. 2 power outages, both times it just dies at a 15% load

1u rack mount battery
Works great in the rack space. Easy to setup, but a bit heavy.

APC Convert
I've been strictly an APC user for years. CyberPower made a good product with this one. Not as heavy as i would have thought. Easy to set up.

Compact UPS that reliably keeps servers running
Why I ordered this item: My rack in the closet has a couple servers and a switch on a regular power strip. I wanted something short enough to fit since my rack isn't deep. Likes: * It fits in my short rack with room to spare. There's still a couple inches of clearance in front of the rack door. * The screen on the front is snazzy. It cycles through load, runtime, and input voltage without me pressing anything. * I pulled the plug to test it and my desktop and monitor didn't even blink. No flicker, no reboot, nothing. * Eight outlets sounds like a lot until you plug in a NAS, two servers, a switch and a modem. I'm already at six and I still have room to grow into it. * The power cord comes off the back at an angle instead of straight out. No likes: * The fan kicks on under load and it's got a whiny pitch to it. Not loud exactly, just annoying if the closet door is open. * Setup of the software was a little screwy. It found the UPS on the second try over USB, not the first. * This thing is heavy. Getting it into the rack by myself was more of a project than I wanted it to be. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes Final thoughts: The battery kicked in the second I pulled the plug, no hiccup on my desktop at all. And that short depth is a real selling point if your rack isn't a full size one. The fan noise and the weight are the only things holding it back from a full five stars for me.

A Technicianโs Favorite for a Reason: Clean Power, Quiet Operation
The CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U is one of the few UPS units that feels perfectly matched to small-business racks. It provides clean sinewave output, predictable voltage regulation, and a compact 2U form factor that fits neatly under a firewall/switch stack without creating a cable-management crime scene. The build quality is solid, the display is straightforward, and nothing about the unit feels flimsy or compromised. Itโs an honest, dependable UPS that does exactly what it claims. Where it really shines is in typical SMB deployments. With a firewall, switch, router, and modem attached, you can expect roughly an hour of runtimeโmore than enough to bridge short outages, ride out flickers, or handle those โpower went out but the office is still openโ scenarios. That hour window gives you time to gracefully shut down sensitive gear or let cloud-dependent offices keep working long enough for the lights (or generator) to come back. Itโs not a marathon UPS, but itโs absolutely a stability anchor for day-to-day business operation. Operational behavior is excellent: no whining about PFC loads, no weird dips, and no thermal drama. Hot-swappable batteries keep long-term maintenance simple, and CyberPowerโs management software is just functional enough to automate safe shutdowns without making you regret opening it. For the size, price, and consistency, this unit hits the sweet spot for small offices, home labs, and small server closets. Itโs a dependable favoriteโand one of the easiest UPS recommendations to stand behind. Pros โข Clean sinewave output and PFC-friendly โข About 1 hour runtime for typical SMB racks (FW + switch + router + modem) โข Solid thermals and quiet operation โข Hot-swappable batteries for easy maintenance โข Excellent fit for small racks and compact deployments โข Very stable under inconsistent building power Cons โข Not designed for extended outages beyond the 1-hour window โข LCD is practical, not modern โข Heavy during mounting โข Too small for large multi-server environments

Pleasantly Surprised!
I deal with Enterprise Data Centers, but for my home lab I wanted something more affordable so so thought I'd try Cyberpower. I'm glad I did. This unit effortlessly provides full power as advertised, as well or better than other UPS I've used. Highly recommended.

Too good of a buy to pass up!!!
I'd been in need of a whole new UPS, as my smaller 350W ones from 2008 were now no longer charging batteries and would drop the second any type of power issue was detected so grabbing this as its then price of $400 for a 1500VA 1000W UPS was far too good to pass over. I have a 1500VA, 1500W CyberPower UPS for my homelab's rack, so I'm already a heavy fan of CyberPower. Pro's: The unit isn't too heavy and it's shallow depth makes it ideal for limited space in a rackmount, and it doesn't bend the rack up. Ironically, my managed switch puts more of a wow in the rack posts than this unit does. o.O User interface is generic, simple and easy-to-use. If you've used any UPS before then there's really no need to worry about display settings and how-to's. It's got the new built-in green energy system that when the UPS is charged and not on battery, it auto-bypasses the transformer and reduces energy consumption and waste by 75%. Unit switches over from utility to battery quickly, quietly and returns to normal just the same. NO LOUD FANS! In fact, I didn't even notice let alone hear if there was even fans in this unit which is very nice! So bonus on it being ultra quiet! Came to me with 92% full charge, so not a lot of time needed to fully charge it before putting it into production. And last but most important of all: She has that beautiful and wonderful strong fresh/new electronics smell one can't help but admire and relish. That alone was worth the $400 ;) Cons: Unit says default setting is MUTE when running on battery. They lie! ;) Easy fix, though! The screws for the rackmount holes were too small for the back bolts on my rack, and I had to use the screws that came with my rack. You may have different results depending on your rack.

Great unit
Great UPS unit. I was powering 3 R710s and a DL380 GEN 9 with this. It had no problem and would give them just enough time to shutdown in the event of a power outage.

BARELY 2U
BARELY 2U - plan for a third-U of extra space usage. So far so good otherwise, testing showed it worked as expected, has been in use for several months/across a few power faults and has kept the equip on without fail. Just that it's more like 2.05U in size. Using cage nuts at the center of two separate U markings in a rack makes it stick out just a little below the bottom U and a little above the upper U that it takes up. Plan to lose ~0.3U of space (the smallest U-Unit spacing most racks offer for cage nut positions) due to it's slight oversized-ness, unless you have something that is a little under tolerance that you can place adjacent to this thing.

Works well
We have these at work in crappy conditions with even more crappy power and they are abused.... never failed. I bought one for myself. If you can't afford some monstrosity from APC these are you next best bet for like half the price.
