LG 65SJ8000 65 WebOS 3.5 Smart UHD 4K HDR LED HDTV

Like someone else on the Internet posted, which I agree with, there is really very little reason to spend $3,000 to $10,000 for a television when you can buy this one for $1,100.00. The picture on this set is spotless, beautiful, so, so sharp, viewing angle is beyond great, the set looks super nice, the picture is just so good, I can't stop watching it, my gosh, it's simply spectacular! The sound is fantastic for a thin television sound system on a panel television, the controls are so, so nice, the remote is simple and very easy to use with VOICE command options and a pointer to execute commands, overall it's just the perfect television for me, priced where it needs to be priced, it totally meets my 4K needs, and I must say, I have NEVER, EVER seen Netflix look so darn good, let me say this once more, so you can stop you television search for good and buy this one, it is SPECTACULAR! Finally, let me mention one final thing, the slightly newer model, the 65SJ8500 is virtually the SAME television, with the change of trim around the screen, which is nothing and the 8500 has a slightly more powerful audio amplifier chip, which is just not necessary, as the on the 8000 has plenty of gain for all situations, the tiny bit of audio power on the 8500 is just not needed. Save $100.00 or more and stick with the SJ8000, the perfect television, and it's a DEAL!!!!!

Tv had an awful vertical banding issue that was extremely distracting when watching any panning motion, especially bad watching hockey. I had this problem on 2 tv's of this same model number. Do not buy this model!

There were some initial issues with loss of sound when switching from one HDMI input source to another HDMI input source (eg, changing from Netflix to cable). I had to reboot the TV in order to get sound. This is a reported issue, but (perhaps since an OS update), I have not had the problem again. The picture quality is excellent, and the controller is versatile and not-too-hard to use.

I pretty much already knew we were going to purchase another LG TV. Our TV repair man told me a few years back that he finds the LG TV's to being better quality then the others on the market. This purchase was going to be for our downstairs. We just had it all done over from top to bottom, with a Bar. The TV was to be a huge addition. We decided on this 65 SJ8000. I went to consumer reports and did all of the usual comparisons. This TV's ratings were very good and in our price range. So far we are very happy. We have not had a chance to really use it yet, but so far so good. Great picture even at an angle, the sound level on this LG TV's is amazing. (no surround sound yet) All of the other options that come with this TV are fantastic.

There is a 2018 version and I paid more for this 2017.

I purchased this tv because of consumer reports recommendations. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but I wanted something that was comparable to the best. This TV is it. I have nothing negative to say about it. I love the Magic Remote with the pointer. Very cool. The picture quality is fantastic. Note: To hang on your wall go with the ECHOGEAR Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket for most 37-70 inch LED, LCD, OLED and Plasma Flat Screen TVs w/ VESA patterns up to 600 x 400 - 16" Extension - EGLF1-BK. Many others out there won't fit (I sent one brand back). Echogear's website allows you to check whether the mount is compatible with your TV. Also, although consumer reports said the sound from this tv is really good, it doesn't compare to what you can get with a good sound bar.

Terrible picture quality. Don't rely on consumer reports ratings.

I’m really glade I picked this tv.I was upgrading my tv and it was between this and the Sony.Usually I would pick the Sony because I have one in my bedroom and I’m pretty familiar with it.But for some reason I was drawn to this one.Great picture and pretty easy set up for the most part.It took me a minute to figure out the way this tv works considering I was used to my Sony.After messing around with it for a couple of hours I have it down pat.The only thing I’m not to keen on is the pointer.Other then that I’m really impressed with this tv and glad I chose this one.If your looking for a tv get this one you won’t regret it.

I have this TV for 2 months and I realy love it. It offer deep black with good contrast, The sound is very good even whitout any other sound equipment.

This is television is terrible. Not only was the unit I received defective but the panel is hazy, I'd describe it as faux K not 4K panel. I didn't know why until I did research about LG's rgbw panel, where they substitute every other coloured pixel for a white one to achieve more brightness, well it's bright, but a bright crappy picture. Blacks are so washed out they are literally grey! Avoid at all costs.

The unit I received was likely defective, there was a bright white light coming from the bottom right corner and had sound sync issues. The unit was also periodically disconnecting from Wi-Fi and had very blotchy light appearance in dark room conditions. I don't know what was a defect and what was a normal function of the TV. Either way, be wary of this TV. Also, LG customer service isn't great, I called them about 6 times and was promised a call back to get a technician in to repair every time, no one ever contacted me and I eventually got the seller to take it back luckily.

This TV has caused a direct need for me to go back and watch every movie or show I have ever seen, the color and picture quality is outstanding! The shipping was on time and the distributor was excellent

instructions and manual print is very small....diagrams not the greatest...otherwise great picture and sound.
