Holds the foot very securely, and matches height with normal shoes
I chose this one because the closed end looked like it would be more functional at work than the open toed aircast the doctor gave me. I wear 7.5 medium in woman's sizing and the small is perfect. Within 4 pumps of the air pump I had a snug but comfortable fit. Even over straight leg jeans and my very muscular calves, I was able to close all the straps. My boot cut pants are going to fit comfortably over the outside. The height of the heel let's me wear my regular work shoe on my good leg instead of a high heel. This is very important because keeping as close to a normal gait as possible reduces the problems caused by long-term limping. The front shield is also sized so that the boot helps keep it in the right position instead of having to struggle with it every time I put it back on. For all that many people are finding the pump in a bad location, I actually find it a big improvement. I have been sitting on the ground to assemble a pair of garden benches. The first one was done with the aircast, which has a side pump. I still need to go through and do a final tightening of all the bolts on that one because it I didn't have energy for that last step. Today I finished the second bench while wearing this one and completed every step to the end with energy to spare. Sitting cross-legged on the ground and bending, reaching, twisting as necessary to reach and position pieces didn't require extra effort and didn't result in the boot digging painfully into my flesh.

Very comfortable and easy to put on
Fast shipping, was ordered to replace the ones they gave us to use while in hospital. The hospital ones were very uncomfortable and heavy. These give better support and feel very comfortable after breaking both ankles last week.

Would buy again
Perfect fit foe my 7 1/2 foot. The straps were longer which would be helpful for fat feet but I was able to cut them and it made it perfect.

It's good IF you are in the right size range.
I'm recovering from a severely broken ankle; and after 10 weeks in a wheelchair, will be allowed to walk soon in a "walking" boot. The heavy, black post-surgery Frankenstein boot is nearly impossible to walk in, so I looked for a good replacement -- something lighter, lower, with better traction. I believe the Ossur Rebound is the best bet, IF it fits. This is a big "if." I'm a women's size 8 to 8.5, which puts me in the top size range for the small boot. My son has a medium boot leftover from a bad sprain/tear, and it is huge on me, so I didn't hesitate to order the small. The small, however, is a great deal smaller than the medium. It was just long enough, but it was very narrow. The ankle area, in particular, was very tight. It pushed against the surgery sites, and rubbed when I walked. After walking around the kitchen with crutches, my ankle bones felt bruised. (It fit ok around my uninjured ankle.) There wasn't any room for inflation, or a cushioning sock. The calf area of the boot can be cut to provide more room for your calf, but it was also a tight fit. I wouldn't recommend it above about a size 6.5 (or maybe 7) unless you have a very narrow foot, ankle, and calf. I also don't recommend the size medium unless you're about a size 10 women's -- this leaves quite a size gap. I ended up returning it (15% restocking fee, and $21 return postage), and getting an Aircast. It's heavier, and doesn't have a rounded toe; but it's sized better. The medium fits ok, and I can walk in it. ๐ If it fits you. ๐ If it doesn't, and you have to return it.

size chart is accurate
It fits as described. I am a 8.5 women's and the small fit perfect. It is comfortable and easy to put on. Takes all pressure off my heal.
