Great lights
Great lights, very easy to install and look great. Large variety of colours available. The 2 in 1 switch worked great as I could control both strips at once

Bright, nice features, easy to install
Got this for my son's bedroom, and he loves it. The moving light effects set it apart from standard led strips, and the bright white leds mean you can light the room up really well.Integration with Alexa is ok - you can't access the effects directly though, you have to set up shortcuts in the app, which are then visible in Alexa.I've installed it into aluminium channeling, which is a faff to fit to the walls (especially if you're doing it at the top of the ceiling) but looks _so_ much better than just sticking the tape to the wall, and also means you can take it all down to decorate.

Great value
For the price, this is pretty incredible. I've hooked this up to Home Assistant with no fuss at all and can control it from anywhere. I've installed this behind some shelves to give a really nice backlit effect and when it's time to change the mood, it's just a click away.

Great colour diffusion, and connectivity is super simple & efficient.
I've had 4 sets of LEDs now from 3 different companies and every single one of them broke in a few months.I now wanted to buy some from a more reputable brand because putting up new LEDs every few months is a lot of effort, and terrible for the environment.I have had a TP-link extender for 6 years now and it's still working, which gives me an idea for the quality of their products.Putting up the LEDs was simple like any others. The colour diffusion is great and well balanced, and there are no dead LED spots. The app UI is well made and easy to navigate, and setup was as simple as 3,2,1. Connectivity is fast, and works with WiFi and Bluetooth. It doesn't come with a remote control however and does require a phone or tablet. However, I do not find this a problem as I always found remotes to be dodgy and I always end up losing them. The LEDs connect to my Amazon Alexa which works seamlessly, and I use it on a daily basis. The price may seem a little high for some, but these are from a reputable brand and are more likely to last longer than other brands. Saving you time & money in the long run.

Top quality, much better than cheap ones
Really impressed by these. Every part was better than the cheap Chinese lights you’ll get elsewhere. For a few extra pounds you will thank yourself. They are bright - the light density is higher (more lights per metre). The cable length from the plug is long enough to reach the ceiling from a ground socket. There’s a push button to turn on/off. And the best part is the connectivity and app. TP-Link make top quality networking products that just work and this one of them.

Not £29.99 worth of kit
These are not £29.99 worth of kit despite the tplink/tapo brand, especially compared to the other options out there at lower price points.I intially chose tapo, partly as I have and like tplink kit for routers etc and in this instance also due to the 2x5m split, having needed to trace the routes of what they were replacing in the kitchen down two sides of kitchen cupboards separated by the cooker and hood, only to find the main driver/wifi units split cable was only approx 8 inches long, so nowhere near the length needed to be to run through the previous installation from the top of the cupboards to the underside for placement, which needed to be about two metres per split. So extra cost buying extensions and, as I needed to corner, the appropriate addional kits, bringing the over all cost from £30 to £40.No fault of tapo, but the kit's extensions would not fit into the tapo splitter connectors as they stupidly make the extension cable end connectors the same size as the tapo ones so will not connect. I managed to trim off excess plastic to enable a fit but given the money of these, I should not be having to think outside the box and fiddle about like this, why tapo don't provide longer cables in the first place is beyond me, or at least have their own 'fitting' extensions available, not everyone is doing an installation of 8 inches, I doubt I'm the first to encounter this issue. So if you were to buy these, this must be a consideration, and these are key details not even mentioned in the sales blurb on amazon. This would only be an easy install if you needed 'as is', mixing one mfr lights with the random mfr connectors and extensions make it a much more painful installation. On completion the lights are bright enough in the only setting of white at 100% called daylight, but for some daft reason when trying to use daylight with alexa, she claims the device can't do it. Only if you select it via the app or you tell alexa to do 'white' you get a solitarycwhite. In a fact it's a little disappointing it is the only white, and doesn’t have warm white or other whites we have on all our smart bulbs. The white is great for when you need them on to prep food lighting up the counter well, but for ambiance you need the warmer whites, so this is a failing in these. I see you can create effects but not colours, not to save at least that I can see. You can manually edit a colour so with a bit of matching up you'd probably get close to the warm white but it doesn't appear to be storable as a colour so you'd have to fiddle about doing this all the time.In hindsight I should have purchased two separate strips from same mfr as my bulbs around the house, I'm sure it would have been simpler and also do a warm white. So over all disappointing due to the cost, short driver cable and lack of basic white colour option you seem to get on everything else.
