High Light Luminous Highlighter Stick with Hyaluronic Acid

My favorite go to for a nice glistening tan look. I miss the larger size they used to offer.

This is a lovely highlighter, and this Milk brand is good quality, giving me a nice pearly look that I want on my upper cheeks and other areas of my face with the bronzer and the contour. Any lighter shade will do for my light-medium complexion. These newer products are not oily, and they don’t gum up or slide around. They give me a long-lasting look I like; they don’t rub off or fade easily. They don’t melt into my skin and disappear. They are unscented and gentle on my skin. I take the contour, add some accent, and create shadows for the facial features I want to accentuate, like cheekbones. I add a bit on my upper forehead and temple area, as well as a bit on the bridge of my nose, and add dimension to my chin and round off the square area of the jaw. I will also accentuate the outer lids of my eyes to give me a wide-eyed or cat-eyed look. Then I put bronzer in areas where I want to look like I’ve been in the sun. The sun’s radiance might be on my cheeks, on the tip of the nose, on the chin, and even on my forehead, but I would make it all look subtle, even the contour. Then I would add a couple of dots of a coral blush color in the center of the cheek. That one I don’t have from this brand yet, but they have some lovely shades in the older formula that I am going to try for a few dollars less. What a good deal while they still have them. Then the magic happens when the highlighter goes right below the under-eye area, a bit on Cupid’s bow, a bit going from the bridge of the nose to the forehead, above the eyebrows and the forehead. It may look complex, but I make it look less obvious. It’s just sculpting, and it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. You can also easily wrap the box these come in if you want to gift them in person. It’s a nice kind of box that you would find with most cosmetics. I am so happy with this order and impressed, because I am one of those people who have upwards of 20 different brands of the same type of item. Most of them are either greasy or dry powders. Also, the contour and bronzer are Matte shades, while the highlighter is pearly. And one thing I like about it, besides the fact that it’s waterproof, is that it’s not glitter. I’m too old for glitter. This is a nice soft glow. You can put on as much as you like. By the way, I initially applied this product to my hand, and when I rubbed my fingers over the area, it didn’t rub off. Yet you can use any makeup remover, including my favorite makeup remover wipes in the blue package. They’re lovely. I do have more expensive cleansers, but you won’t need them unless you are sensitive, have allergies to certain products, or need or want specific ingredients. I am really enjoying these, and I believe they will last me quite a while. While I’m using them, they don’t get gooey or sticky. In the humidity, they are staying smooth on the surface. Enjoy.

I requested and received this Milk makeup highlighter stick in “Rad” which is apparently a pink pearl tone. I thought I’d try this so I could add a little “glow” to my daytime looks. The highlighter stick is very creamy and definitely stayed exactly where I put it, but I will say that there is virtually zero color payoff with the shade Rad. I’m reasonably tan colored since it’s summertime, and this highlighter shade didn’t show up very much at all. The shade is beautiful and I had high hopes, but it was a bit lacking for my particular skin tone. Mind you, I placed this product on my cheekbones and, therefore, cannot speak to placing it on brow bones, bridge of nose, as well as collarbones. I have relatively sensitive skin and did not experience any irritation with this product. It felt very lightweight and went on very smoothly. The ingredients list boasts a lot of beneficial ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides for hydration, as well as pomegranate flower and jojoba oil to nourish the skin. I noticed that the product page's question section states this is “a 100% glitter-free formula” and would beg to differ in that when I washed my face in the evening, I noticed tiny sparkly chunks left behind after my first attempt at washing my face. I had to wash my face a second time to remove all the sparkly chunks. I had sparkles all over my washrag and towel as well, even my makeup blending brush from when I used it to blend out the “edges” of where I applied the highlighter. I never realized how much I’m not a fan of sparkly bits until I saw sparkles all over my face after the first facewash attempt. I do wonder if it is the calcium aluminum borosilicate in the highlighter, which is a glass that has shimmering and reflective qualities, that I was seeing as leftovers on my skin, or possibly it was the mica. All that to say, this product has “glittery” qualities, in my personal experience, yet it had a slight sheen while on my skin. (Closeup picture is included where it is easier to visualize the sparkles.) Either way, it was a bit of a frustration to get all the sparkles off my face. As far as staying power, I liked that this product stayed exactly where I put it. I have found that a lot of the cleaner types of makeup I’ve purchased in the past didn’t have long staying power, so kudos to Milk for formulating something that lasts all day. All in all, this is a decent highlighter for one who wants a natural looking and cleaner makeup with staying power. I would love to have had an easier time getting the sparkles off my face though. That being said, I wish I could give this item five stars, but the idea of wearing a ground borosilicate product on my face just gives me pause enough that I’m hesitant to do so.

My gf loves it

During the week, I usually get ready for work at the gym and try to keep my makeup products minimal, but bronzer is a must for me. I like powdered bronzer, but the case is one of the largest items in my bag. I've also tried liquid bronzers but found them more time consuming to apply b/c you really have to blend it well. I love that this is a nice, compact bronzer that I can swipe on and blend with my finders. The tube is a little shorter and thicker than a lipstick tube and takes up so much less space than my typical bronzers. The Glitzed color is perfect for giving my medium toned skin a warm glow. The product is well pigmented, so I don't have to use much to get the look I want. I also appreciate that this product includes skin-enhancing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid. This is a great addition to my daily make-up and gives me a nice glow without too much effort.

Do not purchase item is smaller and it doesn’t push up so you have to apply with your finger. Save your money and purchase at cosmetic store.

Good colour for my skin

Lovely small product and easy to use. Light transfer so have to build up a fair bit to get good results. Colour is lovely but again needs to be built up for full effect
