how thin is the flat part of the spatula?

It’s quality hard rubber, so it’s thick. But no thicker than normal rubber spatulas.

Will the handle melt? I have an oxo spatula whose handle is made of plastic which melts if rested on the edge of a hot skillet. Have they fixed this?
