Good read but the written exercises don't seem appropriate
Its a good read but the written exercises seem pointless and we the reader are not clued up on physcotherapy methods so what's the point in asking us what we would suggest or do? The reason we are reading the book is to find new ways of thinking for us, not to write down what others might do or require to do or give possible answers, we should be recieving the answers not be asked for them.

Best book ever about depression
This book actually helped me! It is definitely worth reading. Hands down the best book I have ever found that helps with depression.

Review
Love it! Read the hand book first was amazing read when panic attacks and now feeling great. Amazing detail and broken down into digestible pieces. Skipped through a bit of the cognitive distortions because I thought I had a good grasp since reading the last two books. And wanted to get to the self philosophy part but will go back and fine comb that when I’m not pushed for time. Been feeling great since I finished the book can’t recommend it enough! I don’t think it’s like other self help books where you’re glued to the book for it to work this has real practical techniques which you can apply in the real world based on scientific method which makes stepping out of the book and in to life feeling great! And if I do get stuck this amazing resources is at my finger tips.

Promising, but eBook needs some special effort from the publishers
Very positive book promising rapid treatment for depression and anxiety, through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy exercises. Burns is very supportive and enthusiastic, which makes me hopeful about the efficacy of the methods.As an e-book this book is a bit challenging as many pages are intended as exercises to be written in, but you can't do that in a Kindle! The Daily Mood Journal is available as a printable download, with the URL included in the book. However, Recovery Circles are not available. It would be great if there was a companion set of printables for all the worksheets and cheat sheets available for download and printing.Most of the tables are also poorly rendered in ebook format making them challenging to read. Reducing the font size may help.Books like this need a special design effort for the eBook version.

This book is Worth every penney.
I have been struggling for the last 6 months with depression. I came across david burns book two weeks ago and i implemented some of his techniques and i can honestly say that my depression has greatly eased. I had moderate depression and now its almost gone. In two weeks that is unbelievable for me cause everything online says it will takes months of medication and therapy and i was feeling quite hopelessness about my situation. This book also works on anxiety, addictions and relationships. I would highly recommend this book to any one struggling with their mental health or any one who isnt feeling a considerable amount of happiness in their life.

Empowering and enlightening
This book teachers sufferers and their carers how to correct their thinking in a gentle, clear and kind approach.Read the 'Cliff notes section" to get a good start. His methods are quick, its a type of CBT that doesn't push you out to test yourself but is supportive.Dr Burns has good website Feelinggood.com where you can listen to him talk about his methods with an assistant and answer questions.It would be great to see his ideas used in the UK .

A Mood Improvement Game Changer
This book is more helpful than other CBT books because of it’s unique emphasis on firstly reframing negative emotions as manifestations of the most positive and wonderful things about you. For example, if you are depressed about not getting along with a family member, this shows that you deeply care about your relationship with them. in fact, what would it say about you if you didn’t feel upset about conflict? It would mean that you didn’t care. Or, if you get anxious about an upcoming talk, it means you really have high standards and want to do a great job. Not being anxious might mean you don’t prepare properly. Then it uses powerful tools to dial down these emotions to an appropriate level. Clear, powerful - a game changer.

It is not a book just to read, it is full of exercises. It is very crucial to do all the exercesis
This a book is for mentally sick people and it is really good medicin for the people who have pain in the soul becase off distortet thinking.

It works!
I feel great when one would reasonably expect to feel great, and bad when one would reasonably expect to feel bad. Success!That said, you still have to do the work in order for it to work. No magic bullets here.

Pratico e ricco di informazioni
Ho già letto "Feeling Good" sempre dello stesso autore e da subito è diventato uno dei miei libri preferiti. Ho preso anche Feeling Great spinta dalla curiosità di approfondire la tecnica creata dal Dr.Burns (TEAM CBT) e non ne sono rimasta affatto delusa. E' un libro stupendo ma...richiede molto impegno! È un ottimo supporto per chi soffre di depressione e di ansia e magari non ha la possibilità di andare da uno psicologo. Non risolve magicamente ansia e depressione ma fornisce più di 50 tecniche pratiche da poter applicare, oltre ad una spiegazione molto dettagliata delle varie distorsioni cognitive tipiche di ansia e depressione. È uno dei libri più chiari che ho letto finora sulla terapia cognitivo comportamentale: tante spiegazioni dirette ed esempi pratici.

Helped me a lot, purchased multiple copies for friends and family
This is a self-help book. I've read the predecessor, "Feeling Good" as an audiobook. I recommend a hard copy as well, for browsing more easily when you want to use the techniques described.It has helped me a lot. It is not a substitute for therapy, but still useful and very accessible.

I read feeling good s few years ago along with other books by the author like when anxiety attacks; there’s nothing new and the promise about addiction help from the promotion isnt there , if you have read feeling good dont waist your money and time on this
