3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6100, NIOSH, Small

I currently found myself in a bad situation with a chemical spill at home. I bought a non rebreather on Amazon that should fit “most adults” which is usually a size medium but it didn’t. It was a little too long at my chin and I could feel air rising into my face just standing still but my cheeks fit enough that I could breathe in and it could suction to my face even though my chin was open. I did my research on how to measure your face so you buy the right size. Unfortunately in my case, my measurements fell between a small and a medium. The length of my face is too small for a medium and the width of my face is too big for a small. These type of products are non refundable. I never leave reviews. However, after finding myself in a position where I could help someone elsewhere, I would like to share my facial measurements. Buying a mask like this isn’t measured by height and weight as I’ve seen reviewers give reference to. My facial measurements are from bridge to chin, 4 1/8” and from cheek bone to cheek bone, a little more than 5”. The small fits perfectly. I hope this helps anyone that may fall within between sizes as well. If your chin measurement is smaller than what the size chart recommends for your size then size down. Best of vibes peoples!

Grass quality. It is a tight fit but it fits under my harbor freight welding mask with full size filters

I'm a 5'2" 150lb female and the size small fits great! I tried the medium size first and it pressed hard against my cheekbones and became leaky around my nose when I smiled, so I just got the size small in today and it fits perfectly! The clips are hard to work with to adjust the straps, but with a good fit I won't need to adjust them often (if ever, after the initial adjustment). It's also notable that the medium mask smelled fine when I got it, but the small mask has a funky smell (like a rubbery smell?) but hopefully it'll dissipate soon once it airs out a bit. This is especially important for me because I have chemical hypersensitivities. Otherwise, it's very comfortable to wear this mask for hours (I've worn it for 8 hours straight no problem). The valves work great so that it doesn't get too hot/humid and my face doesn't get oily. I did purchase some silicone pads and attached them to the plastic of the head strap when I used the size medium for better comfort with long hours of use, but I might not even need them for the size small since it doesn't need to be as tight to seal well on my face. For other people with chemical sensitivities and/or lung issues who need an effective and easy-to-breath-through filter, I suggest pairing this respirator with the 3M Advanced Particulate Filter 2297 P100's. Of course it depends on what exposures you'll be around, but they have very low resistance and are supposed to help filter out organic fumes. Again, just a suggestion - do your research first. Medium vs Small don't look much different outwardly, but definitely fit differently. The medium is perfect for my 5'11" heavyset husband. The small is perfect for little 5'2" me. Pictures: Inside of the small respirator, medium respirator on (more grey, with my hair pulled back - you can see it pressing on my cheekbones), and small respirator on (more beige, with my hair down - much better fit! I can smile with it keeping a good seal! =D). Pros: Super affordable and good quality Fits great if you get the right size The valves work fantastically!! Very comfortable for hours Cons: Clips for adjusting the straps are a bit annoying Whistles when exhaling for some filters (like 3M 2297's) Might smell weird at first, but not necessarily

Fit is great, easy to take on & off quickly. It’s the first face mask I’ve ever been able to use that doesn’t make it difficult to breathe. I’ve been using it for furniture restoration & I can’t smell anything through it!

Fits well if put on properly does not leak. I work with resin which can really be harmful. Before I got this (with the correct filters for my type of work) I had broken out in a bad rash from breathing the resin. Once I started using this I have had no trouble since. I did used to hang this up by the strap but I don't recommend that because that the type of plastic it is it did start cracking just lay it on a shelf when not in use and you'll be fine.

This definitely saved me as being a welder. I came home everyday sneezing, stuffy nose, and feeling like crap. Now with this, I feel so much better after being around a lot of fumes and not able to inhale it.

Tenía mis dudas con esta máscara ya que la necesitaba para hacer procesos antiguos de fotografía, no me decepcionó en el uso así que comencé a probarla en otras cosas desde pintura con aerógrafo hasta fumigación casera y construcción. Es excelente, no deja pasar vapores, olores y polvo, tampoco es incómoda y se ajustó muy bien al rostro sin lastimar puente de la nariz o barbilla.
