Sturdy lock box for valuables. Has two keys. Said to be fire resistant, but I am NOT going to test that issue. Bought to keep insurance policies and passport safe but easily accessible and portable if needed. Heavy duty tan box. Does hold a standard file folder easily. Must lock box to remove key. Size allows storage in a drawer out of sight.

Love the size of this security box and heavier body to it. Sized up to slightly bigger box and holds all my important papers in one place so I can get to them fast if I need to. Picked the beige color to me it was brighter to see in a dark area. A easy to use better security lock on it and a nice handle compare to my old one. I would recommend this security box to buy. You won’t be disappointed!

My hubby is the most disorganized creature to walk the earth! Anytime we need last year's taxes, or pay stubs, or birth certificates, it is a mad dash through boxes of fru-fru, trying to gather what is needed. Well, that ends today with this beautiful, roomy, surprisingly sturdy lock-box, which can now accommodate everything from our marriage certificate to our passports to tax returns to the family jewels. Then it can be stored handily on a closet self or floor, or in the bottom of a drawer, or if one wants to get REAL kitchy, under the floor boards. Being fireproof, it is safe from that kind of damage. It is quite substantial, as mentioned previously, so if one's evil nephew trying to break into it to peek at the Will's contents, would have a rough go trying to break into it! The price was certainly reasonable and it was certainly more convenient than the 150 lb locked file cabinet that it replaced! Definitely a winner here!

This is really nice! It’s made very well, the black paint finish is shiny and very durable. The lock works perfectly and it comes with two keys. I read the dimensions, but I’m even happier seeing it in person. You can very easily fit flat 8 1/2 X 11 papers/folders in the box. Plenty of room! Like the handle placement. It did come with some dents in the sides, the shipping box and the box it came in were undamaged so I expect it happened at the factory. The paint doesn’t appear to be broken so it shouldn’t rust. Will probably order another one!

Well, I believe this was a used product, because the factory code was reset and there was some scuffing and tape residue on the box. So I had to go through the resetting process. Just annnoying as it states “no matter what the lock is set to 000. It was not. The best part is that the latch was backwards so that when locked, the latch was facing fully inward. Just had to loosen the screw and set the latch back correctly. I knocked off the star for that annoyance. Otherwise nice and sturdy, works for what I need it for, but is definitely NOT fireproof. Fire resistant maybe but I don’t think it’d be safe to store very important, irreplaceable items in it. Overall decent product for the price.

For years I’ve used a very heavy fireproof box to store documents and valuables. I hate it because it’s so difficult to unlock — I have to sit on the top to get the cover to release! — and too heavy for me to move around. A determined burglar could probably carry the box off, no matter how heavy it is. I wanted something I could carry in an emergency. This box does the job. I doubt that it’s waterproof, but it’s the proper size to store documents and easy to lock and unlock. While it doesn’t weight 70 pounds it makes up for that by being small enough that I can hide it. I can’t do that with the old security box. For me this is a practical security alternative.

It’s a nice lock box. Smaller so doesn’t hold a ton of things but would hold your most important documents I do believe. Returned because it was just big enough I couldn’t find anyplace to concur you keep it. It would fit under most beds though. Mine is really low. I don’t know how fire safe I think it is. Would be good to hold some medications if you want it for that. It could hold quite a few. Or other valuables maybe. Opens by key so don’t lose your key! It is portable. Easy to use. And good value for the money.
