Great case for the price

Great Case for this Price Point
Bought this for an Eastman MD-305 A-style mandolin. Buying an instrument case sight-unseen online, not being able to try it out with your instrument first, is always a gamble. This arrived just today and, even with a ToneGard on the back of the Eastman, is a perfect fit. Construction seems solid with no misaligned joints; padding seems plush enough; finish is nice with no blemishes. Letting it sit open for a few hours helped to dissipate the stinky "new" smell. I wouldn't necessarily use this for a more expensive, pro-grade instrument, but for occasional trips to local jams and storing my mando at home, this case is well worth the price. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

So much nicer than expected.
Really solid build quality. No offensive odors as others have reported. Well made and very attractive. It would protect any A Style mandolin (of proper proportions) that you wish to place into its care.

Very Good Case for the price
This is a really nice case. The basic body of the case feels solid and well made, the hardware is good, and it is also lightweight. The case also quite good looking: the black faux aligator covering is handsome and is offset by attractive red stitching. I bought it to hold an Ibanez M522SBS F-Style mandolin and the mandolin fit fine. You won't be disappointed by this case.

Looks a bit cheap, but it's a good little case
The case is sturdy and does the job it's made for. The outside looks a bit like a tire though. I think it's supposed to be faux crocodile skin or something, but it's very rubbery looking, and the "scales" are large, so they look more like tire tread. I would have preferred a smoother surface or the plastic pebbled texture that is common on wind instrument cases.
