Sony MEX-N4200BT CD Receiver with Bluetooth

I have over 25 years experience with car audio, have owned several shops and currently own one now with a 9 month waiting list for installation by me. I also hold several standing state records and have countless trophies.....with that being said, Sony is the only head unit I've used since 2004 because the sound quality is simply unbeatable. For being one of their cheaper decks it's still absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Sony to all my friends, customers, repeat clients etc. And I've never had a complaint with any Sony deck including this one. Keep up the outstanding work Sony.

For a single din unit in this price range, it deserves 4/5.It has all three features I was looking for (cd, fm tuner, bluetooth) and then some.I'll admit I had trouble putting the thing in at first because I did not realize I needed a mounting kit and wire adapter, and then I ran into a hiccup with my vehicle in particular (switch 12v did not match up in the adapter, so I tapped the continuous 12v and put on a switch), but that is to no fault of the unit.The only con I would say is that the buttons feel a bit cheap and are not very intuitive and will definitely take some getting used to for navigating the device menus. I might have preferred the equalizer was a bit more simple (bass, mid, treble), but I cannot deny that being able to set the frequency ranges from 32hz to 16khz is nice. I am not sure however if it will go down to 20hz or up to 20khz - that would be nice to know.Once I finally figured out how to pair bouetooth, it connected without issue and continues to do so. if that changes I will have to add that to this review.Could use more colored illumination than red and blue, but overall it seems like a quality product.

Didn’t come with remote. 2 months strong and still works like a Japanese motor(charms don’t work). Tips would be to disconnect Bluetooth when turning off or leaving range! Take out iPhone when otp. Mic is also crap don’t know if it was accessories! Amp control is top notch.

It is a very good product at the price I paid for it. However if your looking for someone who is looking to upgrade your stereo system for more bass this wouldn't be my choice the selection of sound settings is limited I should have read the description thoroughly. Overall it is a really good radio I just wanted something different.

Had my reservations as I was replacing an older version that has been discontinued. I was not happy with the previous that lasted two years in my VW Jetta. Pleasantly surprised, all the hardware mated wonderfully, this model is less complicated to use. No more searching for dials that take you nowhere...not a bells and whistles person, I wanted simple, CD, BT, AM FM and USB port. Buy it if your looking for something simple that works well, pass on it if you like extra features beyond the basic.

Got it installed and worked for one day, can no longer get any sound. The dash shows it’s working the the output side does nothing.

I bought this unit to upgrade the one have in my RV. The sound is fantastic and the main reason was the range on the bluetooth. My old unit wouldn't allow me to leave the RV without losing the signal. This allows me go over 75 feet before the signal starts to break up. Excellent purchase.
