This stuff is AMAZING!!! Started taking it 6 months ago after my doctor put me on a statin (10mg). My bad cholesterol was 177. I didn't want to take it, as I don't take any medications. I started, but stopped taking the statin after 2 weeks, because I didn't like the way it made me feel. An ER Nurse at church told me about Psyllium Husks. His dad had the same issue as mine, and it helped lower his cholesterol. I take it twice a day, 1 heaping tablespoon in water every morning, and again at night. Well, I just had my 6 month follow up, and my bad Cholesterol is at 140... Whoo Hoo!!! My doctor agreed, no more statin medication! I can't say enough good things about this product! I highly recommend it! I'm a lifetime customer!

I've used this fiber for years and while I recommend it, I am actually about to try another brand simply due to the consistent price increases. It's just too much in my opinion.

The texture is really bad but I have been slowly getting used to it. It's best if you mix it with a little less than a cup of water, stir it for a second then chug it. Once finished drink another cup of water and you should be good. Make sure you do all these steps super fast to prevent it from thickening into a sludge. If you do everything fast enough it's a lot more tolerable.

This is the first time that I have tried using this coarse form of psyllium. A lot different from the more refined product. Mixing it in water, it doesn't disolve so the texture is quite like pulpy orange juice but much more pulpy. No taste, so that's A plus. My bowel movements are much improved and that is the ultimate result I am seeking. Don't find the texture, although different, objectionable and will continue using this in the future.
