Great easy to use professional automotive scanner with some caveats
I'm a professional Independent European automotive technician that needed a fast scan tool that i could use to reset condition based service (CBS) maintenance items, had bi-directional control for diagnostics, and was able to graph OBD2 generic PIDs in a self contained wire-free handheld form factor. This unit completely fit the bill for the price tag. With exception of programming blank uncoded modules, in depth TPMS, and other full feature functions only available on dealership level scan-tools like BMW ISTA/INPA, Porsche PIWIS, etc. This device will address the most common needs you'll ever run into for service, repair and diagnosis of problems you'll encounter in the professional automotive repair workshop setting. Bluetooth wireless range is great, not being tethered to the vehicle during quick/short tests or reviewing live data. Incredibly helpful is the ability to wirelessly print over network. Needing only a windows PC connected to the network and an autel print client installed to it. Printouts offers legitimacy when attaching it to a physical invoice to give back to clients. The summary print contains the VIN, vehicle model and time of scan. This scan tool will reset oil/maintenance service messages on 2020+ Porsche (including 911) which is a huge dealNo problems with VW/Audi, easier to use and faster than Rosstech, although not quite as full featured for programming/codingNo issues with BMW/Mini cooper offering 90% of the functionality of an Autologic bluebox at a fraction of the price.Works with Mercedes Benz, Land Rover and Jaguar. And even support for Sprinter. Minor hiccup with Volvo however trying to retract rear piston on electronic brake equipped 2020+ volvos. Which may be addressed in an Autel Update.1 year of free updates with the device, Then it's about $700 to renew.Arrived from this seller (Autel Direct) completely sealed in thick plastic and well packed, with an inner carton containing the huge plastic blow-molded case.

Great Factory tool replacement for a lot less.
We received the Tool and started to use it right away. The case that it comes in is made of a nice hard plastic materiel, which holds all the accessories in the perfect location. It has 3 doors that lock your tools in place when carrying it. The scanner tool itself is held in by a nice velcro strap. The tool operation when turned on only take under a minute to load and ready to use. It has a screen protector on the actual screen but will show scratches when using it from your fingers. Make sure you do not take the screen protector off. It was easy to hook up to a wifi station. The wireless DLC reader has a light inside the connector area that helps you see under dash when finding the DLC. It lights up right away and only takes under 30 sec to connect. It has a lot of icons to different systems but the car may not be capable or it does not have the option, it will tell you. But the information it gives you is critical just like the factory scan tools. Bi-directional works great. Overall the tool is a great factory replacement for a lot less and seems to work pretty good, I would like to see a faster processing speed and better screen protector and battery life. I would give it a 4 to 5 star rating compared to what I have used in the past out of my 40 year career.

Awesome machine
I've only had this unit for about a week. I've tested the bidirectional function on several systems on my 2015 Impala LTZ. Worked flawlessly. This is quite an upgrade from the mk808bt.One thing I don't like is all the extra adapters included and such a large case. I'm not a shop. This is for personal use. I will never use the adapters. Wish there was a way to get this unit with just the scanner and dongle. But there isn't. Not worth giving less stars. Again this is a professional scanner. This isn't my first scanner I've had OTC, star diagnostics (mercedes benz) for years working on my stuff. Being I had an account set up with my mk808bt setup and registration was a breeze. There is alot of information to download. It takes time. Be patient. I have slow internet so all in all it took @ 2 hours to update scanner and install all manufacturers I wanted. It has so many manufacturers I've never heard of. I have to program an BCM and key for my son's Escalade this weekend. I have no worries this will do it.Pricy for an average diy er but with the complexity of the newer vehicles I'm very happy with my upgrade. And happy with Autel.

Extremely Versatile
The Autel is a valuable tool in the auto repair industry. I have an older model that has paid for itself many times over. While I have not had a great deal of time to fully explore my new MS906BT yet, it comes with adapters for any vehicle I would ever work on. The ease of use is what I find most likable about the scanner. Look forward to many years of use as with my previous model.

VERY good for the price
I'm a Mobile Mechanic, and do a fair amount of diagnostics. This tool enables me to do them faster than I could with my old Autel 803. The methods for some features take awhile to figure out (fuel trim live data, etc) is a little different from what I am used to "the PIDs are in the eOBD Generic section, rather than the OEM section", but once I got past that, it became extremely useful. This tool literally paid for itself in a few weeks. I love the Ford Power Balance Test, and use it almost weekly while riding with customers, and reproducing issues. It also saves me time when doing calibrations. I love the large touch-screen, and the ability to carry it to a customer while it is reading live data, to explain what I'm seeing.
