This thread is much more robust for restringing big chime tubes and lots of wind like we have. It is much better than what I first bought—about twice as thick. The metal tubes I have are a range of about 20”-32” x 1.25” diameter

Perfect size for restringing my large tube wind chime. Sturdy, coated twine should last for years.

Seems very strong, I'm going to use it on a handmade wind chime.

I purchased this to repair a damaged wind chime. The good old Kansas winds destroy about anything and everything that is outside in the elements. I was able to restring some windchimes that still had some life left in them. So far, they are holding up.

I used this 1.5mm braided nylon cord to replace the original cord on my large (over 36") wind chimes. The original cord rotted and broke after 15 years outside in daily sunshine. The original cord was over twice the thickness of the new cord, and I was afraid that it would not support my heavy chimes tubes, but I was surprised at how well it held up. This cord was advertised as being extra strong, and it definitely is.
