NUVADERMIS Silicone Scar Tape for Surgical Scars, 10 ft Roll, 1 Pack, Light

I have been using this tape on my thick and long surgical scars for a bit over a month now. And while I am not sure if it would help with the scars' appearance, I am now someone who subscribes to deliveries of this product, as it gave me incredible and immediate relief from the itchiness of the scars. The itchiness was always present after my surgery; I got used to it, to a certain point, but at times, the itchiness was unbearable and almost painful. Now... with the silicone tapes I feel absolutely NO itching at all. That is a major life-changer by itself. The tape sticks really well, even after a shower. I was worried I might have to dry myself extra after using a towel, for instance with a hair dryer on low flow... but it is not necessary at all. I take the tapes off for the shower, and they go back on right after I dry myself well with a towel afterwards. I was a bit worried about how it might hurt to remove the tapes from the scars when necessary, as the tapes are truly really sticky (at least during the current winter months with very low humidity in the area I live in). But I just gently pull, hold the skin a bit on the opposite "side", and the tape comes off gently and without any pain, although my scars are located on some really delicate skin areas. My scars are thick, but the tape is wide enough that I can split in the width (into two pieces, each 0.75" wide), and it STILL covers all the scar thickness plus a bit extra. It sticks well on the healthy skin areas, all the way to the tape's edge. All the scars are covered with a relatively short piece of the tape, which makes it more affordable. I bought the clear tape; I use it under clothes, so it didn't really matter as much what color the tape is. But even like that, I was worried if the tape would be visible under some more fitting clothes, and people could tell I had them on. No, the edges of the tape are not peeling off, and the thickness is just so that it doesn't seem to be obvious even through my summer shirts. I definitely recommend the product. I will edit my review after a year or so to note how much it affected the look of the scar. But even if it wouldn't, I am still really happy with it.

I had Total Knee Replacement 9 weeks ago. I'm not going to lie, it is rough. But, this product has worked great. I wasn't sure if it would stick to my knee with how much it bends and straightens, but there are no problems. It goes on easily and adheres well. I used A I and found that it is best to put it on a slightly bent knee so it is not too loose when your knee is straight and not too tight when it is bent. One of the best things I like about it is that it makes it so much easier to massage my scar. It was kind of creepy to me when I actually had to rub my scar when I was using a gel treatment at first. I can't speak to the final result yet as I have only used this tape for about two weeks, but I can already feel that it is not as raised and is much smoother (something that did not happen with the gel.) My physical therapist says it will really help my scar be less visible in the long run. I highly recommend this product! If you are reading this, chances are you have had TKR. Good luck with your recovery- Hang in there, it will get easier- slowly.

This is an awesome product. I had a Mohs surgery. That would not heal. A friend gave me a couple pieces of this tape and it started to heal the hole in my leg immediately. Somehow produces collagen and the tape stayed on even in the pool.

I bought this tape for my 8 year old daughter, who recently had surgery on her arm after suffering one of the gnarliest compound fractures I've ever seen. She has 3 giant scars on her forearm because doctors had to insert rods into her ulna and radius, and clean the wound where the bone had punched through her skin. When she got her cast off and saw the surgical scars, she cried. That was the second time she's cried during this whole ordeal. The first time was because the nurse recommended that she get her flu shot when she was being discharged from the hospital...after a 2 day stay...after emergency surgery. All this to say that she's a tough kid, so when I saw her cry because of the scars, I knew I had to do whatever it took to reduce any noticeable and permanent scarring. As much as possible, at least. After doing some online "research" I snagged this tape, as well as some of the spf 30 silicone gel, and the vitamin c serum. The tape was said to be the "gold standard" for scar reduction, while the spf gel and vitamin c serum are supposed to help prevent the scars from becoming discolored, and should help them blend into the surrounding skin. So far, this tape is great. It stays in place all day, and does equally well at night while she's asleep. The spf gel seems to work, but I worry that it gets wiped off while she's playing throughout the day. This tape holds the gel in place perfectly, which alleviates the stress I had about the gel getting wiped off. As an added bonus, the tape doesn't need to be changed constantly. I think the instructions say that it can stay on for 5-7 days before being changed, and will even stay on while bathing. When swapping the tape and applying the serum, I can tell that the scar tissue and the surrounding skin are all well moisturized. She has mentioned that the tape is comfortable and doesn't bother her while she's wearing it, which is great because if it was uncomfortable, it'd be impossible to get her to wear it again. The thickness/width of the tape is perfect because it covers 2 of the incision sites with one strip. I'll update this review with my observations at a later date, and I'll include some before/after photos for comparison. It's too early to tell, but if this tape does what it's meant to do (so far) I'd recommend it.

I was skeptical about the scar gel and the strips until I seen my scar going away even on my elbow. I had hand surgery in April of this year and my elbow was done in November 2024. The scar was so dark on my elbow but as you can see it’s starting to lighten up in just a few weeks. I do live this and recommend to anyone for new and old scars. The pictures are not in any particular order but you can see the change in color. It’s actually lighter than what is shown for some reason, but it works! The last picture is my elbow which had surgery done on it. The color was very dark until now. Again the pictures aren’t showing a depiction of the change.

I like that the length is adjustable, and it adheres really well — but it’s SO sticky that it’s effectively single-use. Biodermis tape is vastly more expensive but can be removed, washed, and placed again; once this tape is being washed, it really wants to fold and stick to itself, and it won’t come unstuck. It’s quite a bit thinner than Biodermis or ScarAway, which is either a benefit or a drawback, depending on your needs. I’m sure this contributes to its tendency to fold over on itself, but it’s probably ideal for being less noticeable.

highly highly recommend this scar tape!! I was very skeptical at first but I developed very bad keloids from my surgeries so I decided to give it a try. I didn’t take any before and after pictures because I was extremely embarrassed of my keloids, but after using this consistently for 6 months, my keloids went away! but you have to be very consistent and use it everyday without skipping! I no longer have keloids, the scars are completely flat now ◡̈ 100000/10.

Great silicone tape. Stays on real good. Washes well and good day after day.

I have been using this for two weeks now, following MOHS surgery in 5 areas including a “nose flap”, my cheek, neck and chest. I only say this to put you at ease when applying it to tender areas. This was rather drastic surgery with over fifty stitches plus, and this product is amazing! It’s easy to cut to the required shapes, is simple to apply to my numerous incisions with no difficulty, and easy to smooth out. I use it every evening before bedtime and leave it on all night. As per my surgeons instructions, I will be continuing to use this for three months in conjunction with a scar cream medication during the day. When i remove the tape in the morning, the tape is easy and painless to remove on five of my incisions.I’m sure that as I continue to heal over the next few weeks the slight discomfort, I am feeling will completely disappear! I can see that this tape is smoothing out my bumpy scars and my complexion is not as red as it originally was. This scar tape is reusable according to the instructions, however I choose to use new product every night. I definitely recommend this product 100 per cent!
