I always buy this basswood for all my projects/crafts. I have tried basswood from other sellers/companies, and this has always been the best, Cuts pretty easy with my laser, which is what I like best. I think other companies use a different kind of glue which makes theirs harder to cut with a laser, this IS plywood so there are three layers glued together.( I think it is three ) It has a smooth surface, so really no sanding needed. Very little warping, really the only time I have had a problem with warping is when humidity is high, other than that no real problems. This is the one I will always buy.

I have used several different companies and this one is one of my favorites for using with my Glowforge. I would highly recommend this. The price is great compared to others of the same quality. I should also mention that I have not had any issues with but maybe 1 or 2 warped boards, but I think that was due to the package being on my porch too long. Other than that, I am very pleased.

I caught a flash deal and ordered 2 of the 1/8” 12x12” 36 sheets. Out of the 72 sheets only 3 had minor flaws on one side and 2-3 sheets had very very minor bowing, nothing that will really cause problems when using. I am very pleased with the quality.

Quality products I use all the time

I was looking for a thin wood to make laser cut, layered Christmas ornaments. This was exactly what I was looking for and at what seems to be the best price. The wood would not be suitable for large projects because it is thin. But for what I want to use it for it is perfect. It is smooth and even. Easy to paint.

The first pack of 25 I bought for laser cutting use cut well even though boards warped inside the package once opened but laser bed clips solve that issue. The second pack was much lighter in color and laser has difficult time cutting through. I’ve wasted 1/3 of this pack so far and frustrated because a leftover piece from first pack cut through perfectly. New pack is taking double the time and glue layers splinter apart with slight flexing. I’m trying one more pack and then calling it.
