Nothing is better than Speick
The mysterious Speick from Germany 🇩🇪 is the best shave products and shampoo. Great amazing scent, lavender and that mysterious Speick "plant". I recommend every Speick product. And this shave stick is absolutely 💯 lather bomb. This stick will last for months of shaving..

Speick easy
Dont know why the bad reviews. No its not a tallow base or ultimate artisan italian croap, it is a dailindaily kind of basic soap. It does have a scent that you can smell while shaving, but I have never smelled it afterwards. The smell is much like pine, with a hint of lavender. I only use witch hazel or toner for aftershave, sometimes alum if the blade is nearing dull and I get a rough shave, but the scent has never lingered (even though I usually shave and rinse at a sink, not the shower) and this would not compete for power or alter the smell of those who use scented aftershaves. I dont really seek out scents, but dont care much either so long as it does not aggravate my nose like aftershaves and perfumes, or linger past rinsing my face, and Ive bought this multiple times.it is a shave stick about 1-1\4” dia by about 3” and a medium hardness that seems to last quite a while for its weight. For some reason you only find “refill” sticks now days, which means there is no top plastic cover on the stick. It ships in a similar sized box, with a simple plastic base at the bottom of the soap stick. I just use a pill jar or the top of a Lea stick tube. Pill jars work well for travel, having a very secure lid anyhow. I made a few small holes in one end so it can breathe and dry back out if I should need to pack it up shortly after. For a very basic soap, the post shave is good, soft and smooth. This is one of my summer soaps, as it does not have extra moisturizers. It only dries me out if I over load directly to my face, and dont use enough water (but thats a perfect recipe to dry your face with any soap though). I tend to use lanolin and extra buttered soaps in the winter, as my face chaps in the freezing winters after a shave, but is typically oily in warmer weather.I find this soap easy to use as a rub on, and then lather with a brush; but having wire hair, it is easy to overdo and takes a lot of water to balance without drying prematurely (i also shave outdoors a lot in warmer weather and that is a 100x factor in drying too quick) so I tend to simply load a brush directly. Maybe some with troubles are using extra soft brushes? I tend to prefer stiffer like boar and have no problems loading it. I simply swirl around the tip edges of the stick rather than trying to get the brush and stick dead on to each other. Same for the brush, I use the midline rather than the tip or outer edges. This results in a brush load without flicking specks around like a messy toothbrusher.

Doesn’t live up to expectations
This did not lather up like described. It was difficult using the product as storage was also an issue after opening there was nothing protecting the soap from touching everything else when packing to FLY. I would never purchase this product in the future.

Pimple prone aid
I am pimple prone. There are three shaving soaps that don't cause problems. Speick, Tabac, and B&M Latha [long discontinued] Tabac lathers better, Speick isn't as smelly.

I love the shave and the scent! No post shave products necessary with this.
This is my first shave stick and it's awesome. The only drawback on this is that lathering a brush on a soap puck in a bowl/cup is that the lather really gets into the brush and your second and third passes are still very soapy. When I went for my second pass on this it wasn't as foamy as the second passes from soap puck shaving. I used this with my brand new Merkur 34C and the included Merkur blade. I love the shave and the scent! I'll buy it again. Now it's off to the container store for a dispenser for this.Update: I've used this at home with hard water and at the gym with soft, with two different razors and two different razor blades and can tell you I think it's my favorite shaving soap to date. The lather is very slick with great cushion. The scent is awesome and the healing properties of that plant or whatever actually makes my face feel "treated" after a shave. THEY NEED TO GIVE THIS A CONTAINER THOUGH!Update: I've found over the last few months of shaving with about 12 different creams and soaps that this is one of the FEW that does NOT require any post shave products. My face feels great after rinsing and drying and giving plenty of time for dryness and irritation to set in, but it never does after shaving with this! AWESOME!

Only Available As A Shave Stick
I would use this more often if I did not have to grate it into flakes and press into a bowl to use. I'm not a fan per se of shave sticks. I have a light beard and I find rubbing a shave stick into my beard to get enough soap to create a lather a bit of a chore. I have done this though with other shave sticks and one I'm really fond of is Arko shave stick also found and purchased (exclusively by me) through Amazon as Amazon has the best price (I've found, and I've searched everywhere)Another reason it doesn't get a higher rating is the price. It's a good shave soap nonetheless

Great shaving stick, great scent
This stick started my path towards shaving stick obsession. After trying most of the rest, this is still a favorite. Wet your face, dip the stick in warm water, and rub it on your face once or twice. Get a brush and make a great lather in under 20 seconds. It smells great, does not dry out, and soothes and protects your face for a close shave. I liked it so much I bought the Speick deodorant and have just ordered the bar soap. To maximize the utility of the shave stick, get a 2 oz twist up disenser (shop around for best prices on shave and container sites) or cut the stick in half and use a .75 oz dispenser. Drill a hole or get a chopstick and slowly poke a hole up the center of the soap to make it possible to push the soap onto the shaft in the middle of the twist up dispenser. Great for travel but I am using in my daily rotation at home too.
