Love this productWorks great- darkens grey naturally without a red tint - mixes well with true henna for a nice color

Works awesome if you know how to use it.
This stuff works great if you know what you are doing. I make a strong tea with horsetail and black tea, and let it cool. The horsetail is high in silica that strengths the hair. Once it cools, mix in the Henna or the Indigo, or whatever combination you are using. I even tried adding black Walnut to the Indigo to see if it would help darken it black. You need to let this mixture sit overnight because that helps to activate it and release its color. The next day, when you are ready to use it, stir in an egg. This is super nutrients for the hair. It's a beautiful, goopy mess, and it takes a bit to rub it all into your hair and smother your roots. I leave this on for 2 hours. The Henna turned out a Beautiful Natural looking red on my daughter's and ba beautiful copper, amber color on my dark brown. I am super interested in how it will do dying my hair black with the Indigo.

Every mixing is a science experiment, but I like it!
I have bought this product twice already, mainly because I liked the price at the time. I have had to play around with the ratio of indigo to henna to get the right mix for the color I am trying to achieve. The first time, I used it, I added equal parts of henna and indigo and mixed them separately before combining. The henna was too strong, and my grays showed up reddish orange, as opposed to the dark brown or black tint that I was looking for. On my second attempt, I added more indigo than henna and got a much better result. And each time thereafter, I have tried to add a little more indigo to see how dark I can get my hair, without negating the effects of the henna. Seems to be getting better every time. However, if anyone has exact measurements or methods that have worked for them, I would love to know what they are, because every mixing is a science experiment.

Excellent quality indigo powder
I've used indigo and henna for years, and this is definitely a high quality indigo powder. My hair is pretty much grey to white, so I used the indigo at 3 parts indigo to 1 part henna. Added warm water only, and let the mixture sit in a covered glass bowl at about 100 degrees for an hour before application.Don't follow the bogus instructions on most of these natural dye products. Wash your hair and blow until mostly dry. These are weak water based dyes, and won't add color to wet or oily hair. Most of the complaints about henna and indigo products are due to user error. Trust me...

Do not recommend...not even close to black
It does not turn your hair black. I have used a different brand organic indigo before and it did turn my hair black alteast for 15 days....after that gradually black color fades and underneath henna color gets exposed...but this brand was on sale so I thought I would give this a try...also I use indigo frequently so I purchased 3 bags...each time I used it did not give the intended result...I assumed maybe next time it would turn right...now the return window is closed and I am stuck with these bags...it just leaves a black dust like layer on top of my hair rather than staining blue...I tried both methods...indigo mixed with henna and also the second one which is applying henna one day and then indigo the very next day... one after the other...I don't use shampoo or conditioner while rinsing on the day of henna or indigo...only after 2 or 3 days I use shampoo...if it was a genuine indigo powder..it should have stained my hair...blue stain on brown henna stain should give almost black color...the pic attached is 2 days after indigo but before the first shampooing...it's already back to brown color...so after shampooing it would be orangish....it would look like I used just henna...no use of indigo...So much effort for nothing

Indigo leaf powder
Applied the henna a day before and did the indigo step the next day. It is very hard to mix and apply. Maybe will get better with practice but absolutely LOVE the result! Mom’s hair is stubborn silver on the roots. Went orange with the henna but with indigo has a nice soft dark brown color. No adverse reactions

Beautiful color and grey coverage!
To give a bit of background - I have used henna and indigo in the past to cover greys (the product I used had a mix of both in one) and it is a long process to get that color. Somewhere down the line felt it very exhausting and then with the quick results that hair color gives I gave in to the usage of hair color. Recently have been thinking to make a switch again to avoid these chemicals and the side effects but was worried on the results that will come with using Henna and Indigo. Finally started this journey again, and started it with the Minature brand and the results are really good!I have used a two step process with Henna and Indigo, both from Minature. (Please comment if you need the details, as it is a long one but promise it is a good one for your hair and health :)The photos attached are after I completed the two step process and as you can see it has given a beautiful color and covered the greys pretty well.I will continue to monitor and see when the color fades to give this process a go again. But for now this seems to be something I will be sticking to and Minature has delivered good quality product!
