It was easy to install, and a big improvement over the one it replaced.

Description SIZE was WRONG when I made the purchase
As another buyer has stated in their review, the DESCRIPTION IS WRONG when i made my purchase. DESCRIPTION stated it was for a rough opening of 22 1/2 X 54 but the ladder I received needs a rough opening of 25 1/2 X 54. Purchased this for a job early so I had all materials on hand and then wouldn't have to wait for anything. Now that I am ready for it I discover it's the wrong size. Return is not possible since I ordered it early, and also, the box was discarded. $311 for the stairs, estimate of $650 for the install, including enlarging the rough opening, taping, painting, molding, materials, etc..., being capable of doing all the necessary work needed to make this fit, Priceless !

perfect fit

It is only 24.5 Inches wide
I bought this ladder based on the size shown in the diagram, 25.5" wide. The width is actually 24.5 and did"t want to add 1/2"spacers, so I returned it and ordered another hoping it was just bad packaging because the model number on the box matched the product size listed, my bad, same size. I"ll be using spacers. the actual size is 54"x24.5". havn"t installed it yet but it seems like a good door.

Sturdy!
Very sturdy, I hate ladders but feel comfortable going up to my attic on this one.

Works well, check for damage from shipping
Instructions are straight forward, got this to replace the original attic ladder in my garage, likely from the late 70s. Real sturdy, noticed just prior to install that the hinge side of the frame has been knocked into a weird angle. Still installed it and it seems to function normally.
