CAD AUDIO E100SX Large Diaphragm Supercardioid Condenser Microphone,Black

Very underrated mic and brand. I have the very early versions of the E100 which sound amazing and these are similar. Slightly brighter and not quite as plummy sounding as the original E100 but very good and deal nicely with hard and fast transients. As others mentioned the mounting rubber rings are the weak point and could potentially be an issue! A stronger mounting option would be a good thing.

This Microphone has a 30-year legacy. This is the latest in the equitek range of Cad Microphones. I love this mic and has now become my number-one go-to microphone. I realize it doesn't cost as much as the TLM103 or the AKG 414, but I think it holds its own against both of these microphones. It has its own sound which is smooth. and the lows are great sounding. The best thing to do is to go to an outlet that allows you to test out the mic before you buy it, but I don't think anyone who gets this microphone will be disappointed.

WAY too dark, very muffled sound. Self noise seems higher than advertised; constant low white noise (though, is less noticeable with high-pass filter on and even less noticeable with fethead phantom). Bands on shock mount fray easily. Unpleasant to listen to while monitoring own speech.

CAD Audio were once legendary creators of some of the clearest and cleanest sounding microphones on the market, but the E100SX sounds as if it's surrounded by acoustic foam and white noise. If you're a streamer or podcaster it'll do, but I wouldn't use this if you want something high quality.

This is a highly recommendend mic used by podcasters, streamers and voiceover performers. Highly detailed and articulate this mic punches way above its weight. Give it a go and you will be pleasantly surprised. Absolutely no regrets in buying or recommending.

I have akg c414 xlx. You can compare to it and the difference is 8/10. Shocker product Highly recommended.

Sound is good for the price but it came with a broken shock mount that had to be fixed and the CAD logo just doesn’t exist on the mic. I looked in the box and no sign of it. Pretty bad QC..

Por lo general CAD se ha convertido en una marca de micrófonos económicos, pero la serie Equitec es legendaria entre los VoiceOver. La manufactura no es para nada como la de las series de antaño, pero para el precio con el cual se distribuye es muy buena. En cuanto a la sensación táctil, el micrófono es totalmente en acabado mate, así es que asegúrate de no tocarlo con manos grasosas. Su diseño cuadrado lo hace muy cómodo para poder realizar VoiceOver con proximidad, pero el problema es que muy sensible a las vocales explosivas. Necesitas colocarle un filtro antipop, todo el tiempo o lo lamentarás. La calidad de la señal es muy buena, incluso resultando muy sensible, más que otros micrófonos, como el Rode NT1 uno o el económico, Behringer C1. Que son micrófonos de su rango. El tono es cálido, lo cual lo hace perfecto para voces masculinas y para la narración. El diafragma no es de oro, sino de níquel, lo cual lo vuelven muy sensible a la señal de presión sonora, por ello debes de utilizar el filtro pop. Es un micrófono de buen peso, y su construcción es muy sólida, la base de montaje es también de un diseño particular, pero lo puedes colocar sin problema en una base de escritorio o en un brazo colgante, ya que tiene como 140° de inclinación para colocarlo boca arriba o bocabajo, como mejor te parezca. Tiene un excelente filtro, pasa bajos y atenuador de 10 dB, lo vuelve ideal para otro tipo de grabaciones además de la voz. Hago énfasis en la voz, porque en Estados Unidos es uno de los micrófonos favoritos de los narradores. Viene en una caja de cartón, muy bien empacado, la cual que rasca conservar porque viene también muy bien estampada y con una esponja que lo protege muy bien, además de un cierre magnético. Como dije por su precio, es una excelente opción, salvo por él, pero de qué es muy sensible a las vocales, explosivas. Si lo estás comparando contra el E40, la diferencia fundamental es que este es de sonido más cálido, y el E40 es de un sonido que acentúa las frecuencias altas, mientras que éste las tiene más planas.
