I work for a telecommunications company, so this tool comes in very handy. Easy to use. It has a collar that rotates around the top so that it can protect the power switch from accidentally turning on.. Batteries are easy to change out if they start to corrode. Nice grip. I have used several times, no issues. I have the 30 km (18 mile) version. I recommend this item.

Been using this at work and it seems to function well. I like how you can turn it so the switch doesn't get turned on when in a pocket or tool bag. Came with a spare ceramic insert that I was able to use to replace the cracked one on my fiber meter. Great product and great price.

The listing claims "long battery life," but this thing drains fresh Duracells in under an hour. The switch is also incredibly finicky and accidentally turns on in my tool bag, killing the batteries before I even get to the site.

This is basically a handheld laser pointer with a tip that aligns with fibers, and let me tell you, if all you need to do is find faults and what goes where? this thing is perfect. My only complaint is that the LC Adapter doesn't sit sturdily on the tip, which means the beam can wander out of alignment.would buy again, would recommend, pick one up

I work in a facility where there are no less than six different agencies sharing infrastructure, network racks, and data closets. Spread out across a facility taking two city blocks, lacking labelling or documentation and having a literal web of copper, fiber, and coax makes my job of tracking down anything quite the task. This saved hours of work for me, when we recently had to dual home seven new switches in this environment. The laser is powerful enough that you WILL see it on the other end, even in the worst conditions. The various connector types make sure that you're going to be able to use it on nearly any fiber you run across. Good product, I actually bought two.

Simple LED fault light. The included LC adapter was appreciated. Nice bright light and can make it blink. I was able to locate a fiber connector that was several hundred feet away. Cheap but effective.

Runs off disposable batteries

"High efficiency" my ass. I used it to trace a single fiber break and it worked perfectly. The next day, it refused to turn on. The power switch is extremely flimsy and easily gets stuck. Total waste of $18.

Bought 2 and both still work well. Whilst quality isn't the best, still good value for money.
