Update: 31/01/2024- new camera arrived and worked straight away- I must comment on the customer service as it fell out of the 1 year warranty period. Although the UK has a 6 year rule anyhow… all great stuff! 25/01/2024- Cubo have kindly offered to replace the camera My Cubo Ai Plus which I started using from the 27th September 2022 has now fried and stopped working on the 24th January 2024. £300 camera set which lasted just short of 16 months!! I now have no camera etc all of a sudden in my little one’s room (would cause distress to most parents) and also she is used to the white noise out the camera which has stopped therefore another routine disturbance. Camera was due an update on the 23/01/2024 and it’s a such coincidence that it updates when the baby leaves the crib and then upon returning to the camera tonight it is dead.

The design looks great, and unlike many other baby monitors it comes with a floor stand and can track the babies breathing without anything going on the baby. In reality though, the sensors battery runs out after a few days (uses 4 AA batteries), and the camera itself constantly disconnects from the WiFi so you have to go back to the babies room and reconnect it which takes time. It has some good extras like a night light, and plays smoothing music but it fails to act as a baby monitor, and for the price its ridiculous it doesn't do what I bought what it for. I'm returning it for a basic baby monitor, that will cost a lot lot less, and probably work flawlessly. Despite the advertised promises and potential it has it really doesn't live up to them, and should be avoided if you want something to let you watch your baby when your not in the same room as them.

What's great - audio and video quality inc in darkness - ease of connection to WIFI - customer service support should any thing go wrong - variety of mounting / placement options - alerts inc rollover, crying , temperature and more What you might want to be aware of: - breath sensor requires depth in mattress, not typical in newborn mattresses - Some features require subscription

For the price, the reliability and performance of the core camera functions is appalling - Especially if you intend to have more than one person monitoring the camera. Despite a camera connection/network quality reported as near perfect by the app, we regularly experience issues including - laggy/poor video frame rate. - when trying to open the video feed full screen, it will report "cannot connect to camera" despite the fact it was literally just connected. - child crying during night and app has decided to crash/close for no reason. - child crying during the night and sound has stopped transmitting. Numerous support requests were met with patronising responses "are you using the correct power supply", "is it plugged in correctly", requesting photo evidence. I gave up trying to help get to the bottom of it when despite 97%+ connection quality, they suggested using a phone to create a WiFi hotspot and setting the camera up to connect via the hotspot, and use another phone to monitor the feed via hotspot. The expensive subscription features are of no interest to me, so I cannot comment on these. We bought a basic/budget camera (£18 on clearance) which has just as good an image and is far more reliable.

We have ended up having a traditional cheap baby monitor as CuboAI is too unreliable. Their tech support agents are not very knowledgable and just rely on stock answers with no way to escalate. The AI elements aren’t very intelligent. The idea is absolutely great but connectivity is too broken and app too unreliable and the company is out of its depth technically.

Excellent Don't be put off. If you have good wifi at home. This is great. Try it.

As first-time parents, my partner and I have been searching for a reliable camera to help us monitor our baby. While browsing, we were particularly drawn to features like the sleeping pad, danger zone alerts, and crying detection. After considering these, we decided to give the Cubo AI camera a try. After using it for two weeks, here’s what we thought: The whole set was super easy to assemble, which we really appreciated. The camera has amazing resolution—just take a look at the picture we uploaded from our living room. The quality is super clear, making it easy to see everything. The app is also really easy to use. We tested it and had no trouble hearing any sound from the baby’s room. One feature we love is that we can use another app while keeping the Cubo AI app running in the corner of our phone screen. That’s such a useful feature! The night light is just the right brightness—not too bright—and we think it’s smart how they placed it on the back of the bird instead of under the camera. If it were under the camera, it might disturb the baby’s sleep, so we feel this design is really well thought out. We also really like the sleep pad. It’s a sweet feature that helps us track any motion our baby makes during the night. It gives us peace of mind, knowing we’ll get alerts if there’s anything wrong. It’s especially reassuring when thinking about things like Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)—this gives us more time to react if needed. That said, there are a couple of things we wish were different. You have to manually move the camera up or down, which isn’t very convenient. It would be great if we could adjust it using the app or if the camera could automatically follow the baby’s movements. Additionally, the crib mount doesn’t fit thicker crib rails very well, so that could be improved too. Overall, the Cubo AI camera has exceeded our expectations in many ways, offering thoughtful design, impressive resolution, and parent-friendly features like the sleep pad and app functionality. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, such as manual camera adjustments and the crib mount's compatibility, we feel the peace of mind it provides outweighs these inconveniences.
