I like the idea and the handling was easy, but the glitter color is not good. The colour does not cover and looks different from the pictures on Amazon. The seller offered me a new kit with an other colour, which is really nice and a great service. Service and communication 5 Stars, due to the not so good colour of the first try -1* for a total of 4* rating!!

Plenty in the box to get going straight away, with enough clay for a couple of small projects or one bigger one if you don’t mind keeping it simple. The clay itself is easy to work with, soft but not too sticky, and it air dries firm without crumbling if you’ve smoothed it properly. The little tools and brushes aren’t anything fancy but they do the job, and the paints cover well, though the glitter ones are more novelty than serious finish. The sealant helps give things a bit of protection, but I wouldn’t expect whatever you make to survive much handling or water. It’s more about the fun of shaping and painting than creating something lasting. Ideal if you just want a creative afternoon without needing a kiln or special kit.

I'm a beginner and it would have been helpful to have a tool guide as I don't know what some of them are used for. I also used a metal potter's needle as it gives a sharp point, which I already had. Apart from the knife, I didn't use any of the other tools, but they are easy to clean. The guide provided is pretty good, but some hints and tips would have been helpful. Here's some things I found out as I went along: - Water stops the clay from sticking to the surface - Use plenty of water - Put a silicone mat on the surface. This made it easier for me to lift the pot up by lifting the mat and tilting it into my hand. The clay is fibrous, but this didn't cause any problems when building my pinch pot. I then left it for 48 hours to dry and then I painted the base coat. The clay was quite absorbent but covered well. The paintbrushes are of great quality and wash well. Sadly, the paints are awful. The glitter in them is good with a mix of fine and chunky parts, but the colours are lacking in depth. As an example, glitter silver looks like a light purple on the tube, but comes out as pink. It's very transparent, even with a thick, globular second layer. The purple paint was a bit better. I went from having a proud pot to one that looked like a kids craft. The varnish is thick to apply and reminds me of glue. It does appear to be water based as I could easily wash it off the paintbrush. It's a real shame about the paints, because the clay itself was fun to work with.

This is a fantastic pottery kit perfect for beginners who want to dabble in a bit of home/handmade pottery. This set includes 2x1kg packs of very easy to use air dry clay, enough for several small projects - an ideas instruction leaflet is included. Also included are some acrylic based paints (I chose glitter), paintbrushes, shaping and sculpting tools plus some base coat and lacquer to put a nice finish to your item. Easy to use, the clay can take a couple of days to dry/cure depending on thickness but it does set solidly. Brilliant results although I don’t feel the value at £30 (at the time of review) is great, I felt this would be more appropriately priced around £20-25 as the main materials of air dry clay and paint are generally inexpensive although you do get to keep the tools to use again and this pack is really well presented. Would make a lovely gift for a crafting enthusiast who has never tried hand pottery before.

I always wanted to try pottery. I never did because I did not want to commit to buying a whole array of things that I may not like at the end. This kit is absolutely perfect for someone like me. If you even wanted to try pottery but don’t want to fully commit, I’d definitely advise you to get this set! The Pott’d kit comes with everything you will need in order to make your own little creation. It contains air dry clay, enough to make few pieces. The clay dries within 24-48 hours depending on the conditions. A set of wooden sculpting tools, a sponge and couple of brushes are included. There is also a set of glitter paints (8 in total). There are also two bottles containing white base coat and a gloss varnish in the box. Unfortunately at the moment the product sold out, so the current price is not visible. At the time when I got the kit it was around £30. Honestly I cannot stop raving about this kit. It’s great and exactly what I needed. You can sculpt your own little sculptures, plant pots and whatever else you can think of. The addition of tools makes it easy to achieve what you want, the clay dries pretty fast, it think it took just over a day for my pieces to be fully dried. There are no cracks either. It’s a perfect way to relax. It would be great for kids and adults. The box would make a perfect gift. I just love it. I’d 10000% recommend getting this kit!

Super cool und viel dabei. Trocknet auch gut an der Luft. Die Glitzer Farben sind auch sehr hübsch. Allerdings ein Stern Abzug, weil sich die Farbe trotz anrauen und grundieren nach einer Zeit abgelöst hat.
