Bottom Line It Works
I spent 3 hours trying to remove a custom stainless steel 6mm bolt that had broken off flush trying to remove it from the valve cover and was now flush with the head. I tried left hand drill bits, extractors, heat and none of them could budge it. It probably didn’t help that head cover was an alloy as well. As a result the bolt hole was a hogged out mess and I was almost ready to go through a multi month wait for a new head cover as the bike is a hand built Italian model and they were notorious about being slow to ship. Then.. I remembered the ABN power coil kit I had just got. I thought that the smallest size was 1/4” but…forgot it also had metric and…they went as low as 5mm and.. the required 6mm 1.0. I broke it out, the instructions were very strait forward and in just a few minutes I had the cover fixed. This kit is a life saver.
