Love this kettle! Sturdy build and beautiful colour, the temperature display and ability to set whichever temperature you want is a great touch. It boils so quickly - even when full to its large 1.7L capacity - and quietly too. This is a real upgrade from my old one, and excellent for the price.

I love my Haden kettle, I already had the matching sage green Haden microwave oven and the espresso machine so I knew to expect good quality and design at a realistic price. I previously had a Bosch variable temperature kettle for a few years but it started to leak and a new Bosch would cost twice as much. My new kettle looks good and performs well, I'm very happy with my purchase.

After my last kettle broke I decided that I wanted a kettle that had a variable temperature setting as I mainly drink coffee. Going through hundreds of products on Amazon I settled on the Haden Dorchester. The good: Easy to use, to heat just press the start button. It remembers what you last used, and if you want to change just press up or down. Many other kettles had reviews where at least three buttons were needed to start. To heat 2 cups of water to 90° only takes 50 seconds, 1.7ltr to 100° is 4 minutes. Comes with two filters. Not too noisy. The display is clear and shows the current temperature, so you know how close it is to finishing. It also stays on afterwards so you can see if the water needs reheating. Several reviews comment that the backlight is bright (it is) and that the display remains whilst plugged in. The backlight does turn off though after a short while of inactivity. I've not measured the standby usage, but it's just a temperature sensor and an lcd display which I doubt uses much at all. Looks good in my kitchen. The OK: The lid doesn't pop open like most other kettles I've had. You have to remove it completely to fill. The bad: The kettle I have doesn't sit firmly on the base, if you boil water to 100° and the kettle isn't full it starts to shake, not so much that I think it'll spill or hurt anyone, but more than I'd expect.

Nice kettle. Heats quicky and displays temp. Only slight issue is the lid can be hard to remove at times. Otherwise good reliable kettle.

Absolutely fantastic, love this kettle. Sleek, vintage inspired but still modern. Can control temperature to boil, keep water warm and it shows the litre and number of cups it makes! Definitely worth my money as it ticks all my boxes to buy from Amazon, maybe a bit pricey from other place like Robert Dyas. Stable and not that heavy. It also has a removable filter for limescale.

This is such a good looking kettle from the brand of Haden which I have used across the years for small kitchen appliances because they are always very reliable and well thought through and manufactured. My kettles always need to be kitchen work horses and although I prefer substance over style, this has both. This kettle is no exception to my likes. At 3000w it boils very quickly and looks stylish, being a cool mint green in colour with faux wood trim. It has the additional feature of varying temperature controls and has a capacity of 1.7 litres making it a good buy for a family or someone who likes lots of tea and coffee or has a reason for needing to heat lots of water. It is also a sensible and kind touch to have included a second replacement filter, as these tend to 'fur' up quite quickly and are relatively flimsy, so this was appreciated very much. Very pleased with my buy.

It suddenly started making a lot of noise and taking longer to boil. Also, noticed the screen started to flick and often blurry. Not always accurate temperature. Do not recommend it.

Very happy with this kettle. Sometimes the lid gets a bit stuck and can get a bit hot if you want to boil it again soon after boiling it. But everything else is very good about it.

Already ordered a second to replace another one. It's fast, it looks way better than in the pictures, it's not as loud and shaky as others say - I don't know what they hear and see. The temp function is outstanding. When you have low water, it will overheat a bit but with full pot, it heats quite to the spot (beeps earlier, then water still gets residual heat, perfect energy saving). Display is illuminated for some time then turns its light off. But shows actual temp all the time - so you know how warm your room is when you don't use it. Nice.

The product is excellent. Easy to use and really fast in boiling water, the "keep warm" feature is very useful. Unfortunately it arrived with a small dent on the lid. Since the packaging was in perfect conditions, it did not happen during the transport. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Good brand but expensive

Very good kettle. Boils water so fast. It shows the water temperature when you pour it cold, and then climbsbup when boiling. I came back few min later and the display showed few degrees lower. Its great if you're preparing baby formula to ensure water is hot enough. Rose gold with silver and gray, kettle is so pretty and shiny looks very fancy.

I love my toaster and kettle, they are different from anything else I had seen in the shops and match the rest of my kitchen beautifully. (I just need my tiling done now) One thing to note though is they are coming from the UK, so if you are anywhere else, you will need to change the plug over.
