Magnesium Metal Ingot High Purity 99.99% 8 Ounce

While other sellers add aluminum to their magnesium bars, this magnesium is very pure. I purchased a lot of this to add to different types of survival kits that I make. I tested a lot of magnesium on the market before buying this. While other magnesium on the market required many sparks to start, this magnesium required very little sparks to start and burned super hot. You need good shavings of magnesium to start a fire, and this block is easy to get shavings off of. I'm very impressed. I will definitely buy this again.

Some magnesium bars that I've had were so hard that they were difficult to get shavings off of even with a sharp knife, but this magnesium ingot is so pure that I can make indentations with my fingernail and getting a pile of shavings off of it takes almost no effort at all even with a dull blade. Being so pure the magnesium ignites easier and burns better. I think it was worth every penny.

This chunk of magnesium will last a long time if used for making fire starter shavings. It is around 8 ounces of material.

Great deal, this is a significant chunk of metal for the price, would purchase again but likely won't have to unless I let an entire boyscout troop use it.

Very nice chunk of lightweight pure magnesium to help build camp fires. This is easy to carry, easy to use, and affords a camper with a sure fire way to help build their fire, especially in damp or wet environments. Very useful item to carry.

I cut the large bar into smaller pieces with a Sawzall and made up my own fire starting kits. kept all the cuttings to make firestarter blocks. way cheaper than store bought and better quality.

If you like playing with fire like I do, this is fun. Lol
