Easily my go-to for budget bluetooth earbuds
This is actually my *third* pair of WI-C100s- the first pair lasted a good several months (if not over a year) but the cable from the battery to the earbud came loose on one side; the second I lost on the way to work after months of use, probably while having to run for a bus or snagged on my backpack strap and fell off (was...not a good morning hah) So....yes, since they're so light they are easy to slip off accidentally if you don't have one or both ears in-use to keep it from running off your neck (mostly when running or leaning/laying back, basic day-to-day activities don't usually knock em loose ime) that's really the only "big" downside I've found so far across these- and I've been using this same model for a few years now. And worst case scenario, if you do lose em they're cheap and easy to replace, widely available- sometimes even at local stores (though my nearby places didn't this time around) Because they're tethered together, I don't have to worry about losing one ear because it fell out mid-use or I forgot to put it back into the case when not in use. Sometimes you may need to be careful using these when wearing any "cross-chest strap" bags or otherwise (messenger/gym/duffel bags, purses, arm-slings, tools with a neck/shoulder strap, etc) to make sure the earbuds don't get caught under the strap- but for the tradeoff of reliability and peace-of-mind of having them semi-wired, I don't mind that occasional snag too much. Even when they do lightly catch on my backpack strap, they haven't seemed to wear down or come loose around the wire at either end (the pair I had that *did* break in that way came loose at the battery end, and wasn't caused by a shoulder strap- was also after several months of heavy use, even while sleeping) So build quality is reasonable, how do they sound? Honestly, for a $20-30 pair of *wireless* earbuds, pretty decent ^-^ sure it may not satisfy any audiophiles, but again....don't forget the price- even for that, they still sound great to me (of course, that could just be Sony and their reasonable consistency/quality with even budget headphones over the years heh) and the extra features from the Sound Connect app are a nice bonus. Of course it's not going to have extra-thumpy bass (try their "XB" line of products for that) or Sennheiser/Bose/what-have-you quality- but the equalizer and DSEE do give you some extra control over how they sound. Oh, and you can also enable/disable the voice msgs from the app, so it'll only speak up when turning on/off the headset, and when the battery is low The connection consistency and quality have been pretty good across all 3 pairs I've had. For reference, I not only use them with my phone daily (close proximity, but also connecting to Android over BT often works better than with Windows) but also with my PC just as often- and I've never had a problem with initial pairing or swapping between the two. When in use with my PC, even when in another room several ft away they still maintain a good connection, only *rarely* drops out from far away if I move my arm in the way of the line-of-sight (granted, that may also be another advantage of the "pair on the same wire" style of headset over individual or TWS [true wireless sound, or "airpod style" with the separate batteries/bt connections per ear] buds- ymmv with your device(s) of choice) The battery life....hoo boy, they're not kidding when they say upwards of 20-25 hrs. Not only do these have a larger battery thanks to the type of headset- but also since the battery is along the band instead of the buds themselves, the earbuds are much lower profile and work great for wearing during sleep without having to worry about them falling out or losing charge too soon (as long as you don't mind the wires- but even then, they're pretty lightweight and unobtrusive) especially with the right eartips to help keep em snug and secure. Personally, with my living situation having something playing in my ears to drown out outside noise while sleeping was....a necessity- with some memory foam eartips (the included ones would normally be ok, but my inner ear is a bit wide even for the included large tips to work ._.) you almost don't need active noise-cancelling with these ^-^ speaking of eartips, the posts on these are also decently long unlike most TWS buds, so they have a bit more flexibility with options for those (one of my major problems with several TWS pairs I've tried) Between the long battery life (and decently fast charging speed, even over a PC USB instead of 2A wall adapter), comfortable wear, decent sound quality for price, and extra features in the companion app, I'm pretty happy with these as a daily driver (As for the provided eartips, there's nothing wrong with em and will likely work for most, I'm just a bit of an odd case with ear shape hah)

I don't know why I ever bought anything else
I was a big fan of JLabs earbuds and headphones but recently had a bad experience with one of their products. I have been the market for bluetooth earbuds that had an inline mic. I have issues with some bluetooth earbuds not connecting and/or staying connected to my Windows 10 Microsoft Surface Pro. The JLabs Pros that I tried would connect fine but would disconnect after a few minutes. I also had issues with them on my Android phone. I bought these Sony WI-C100s to try. WOW...just wow. I don't know why I ever stopped buying nothing but Sony products. First, they connect to my Surface Pro perfectly and don't disconnect. I don't have any issues at all. The sound quality is amazing. The Sony app gives you a lot of equalizer options to sync to your earbuds. Volume-wise, these things get louder than any pair of earbuds, wired or wireless, that I've ever owned...I'm seriously impressed by the volume. Highs are crisp and clear. Mids are full and not-muddy. Lows are very present but not big and boomy. I also have a lot of problems with earbuds being loose in my ear and falling out despite what size of silicone ear plug that I use. Incredibly these Sony's are comfortable and very secure in my ear. They haven't felt loose or that they're gonna fall out at all. The design doesn't look much different than most earbuds so I don't know how Sony got these to be so secure in my ears. The earbuds have great range on Bluetooth. I can travel my entire house and even step outside without any loss of signal or audio. By far the best range I've ever gotten out of anything connected via Bluetooth. The inline mic on these works great. I do a lot of Discord voice calls and others can't tell that I'm on a pair of bluetooth headphones. The sound is crisp and clear. It will accept a fair amount of background noise but I don't consider that a fault...it just means that they pick up sound very well, even quieter sounds like background noises. The package does not come with a charger or charging cable. That's fine in my book...it's less electronics waste. Most of us already have a charger and a USB-C cable we can use. The Sony's cost me an additional $10-15 over the JLabs but now that I have the Sonys, I think it was worth every penny. I'm gonna go back to just being a Sony guy...I've never had a Sony product let me down. These WI-C100s far exceed my expectations of bluetooth earbuds. **This is my honest review. I bought them with my own money for my own use. I did not receive anything in exchange for a review.**

Best earbuds I've bought in a long time
I bought these earbuds to replace the beats I've had for five years. Not only were they less expensive, but they fit my small ears better. Before finding these Sony earbuds, beats were the only decent earbuds I could find that worked with my stupidly small ears. Not only do these fit better, but they sound better, have more features and have awesome battery life! I didn't know they had an app to adjust the sound quality. The app has several pre-existing sound profiles and three profiles you can create yourself, which really helped with my weird hearing ranges. The fit is perfect using the smallest sized earbud tips. The way they fill my ear makes them almost noise canceling. I wear my earbuds pretty much 24/7. No exaggerating, I use my earbuds all day and night. Sometimes I only have one earbud in, but I have music going all the time. As of right now they have been on for 18 hours and showing 50% battery left! I was getting 10-12 hours with my beats, so this is a huge improvement. I have no opinion on the microphone since I don't use that feature. I've only used them on my tablet. If I ever use the microphone I'll update this review. Sony WI- C100 earbuds are an amazing deal: A. Great price point B. Great app settings C. Fantastic sound quality D. Ample battery life I'm so glad I decided to try these. I've already ordered another set to use on my phone.

21-23 hours of playback. Cable is too long.
I don't love these, but they're the best I could find over the last year or two. The battery life is an actual 21-23 hours of continuous playback IME. Maybe a bit longer. They took about 2 hours and 50 minutes to charge, which seems long. The charge time can be mildly inconvenient. The cable is long and bulky. It should be 12-18" shorter imo. I'd also rather have just 1 pod. It tends to flop to one side of my neck, and pull the cable out of one ear. I found it was helpful to tie the cable up into a shorter length. They also isolate more noise than I want. It's a bit difficult to wear them outdoors because they isolate too much noise to hear your surroundings. That can be a positive though. The interface is fine. They tell you the approximate battery percentage (50%, 70%, etc.). They are USB C. They show up named on your computer/phone. The low-battery warning doesn't seem to work well anymore - now I seem to get about a 5-15 minute warning before shutdown. That's better than the alternative option of having an annoying warning play for an hour. The earbuds are physically small, and OK for sleeping on a pillow, or wearing under earmuffs. Build quality is good. I have been fairly careless with mine, and they're holding up fine. No problems with earbuds ripping off the cables. The silicone eartips might come off a bit too easily, but that's hard to judge. The bluetooth range is about the same as my other earbuds. Maybe 25-35 feet before beginning to cut out. If the pods are being blocked by your head/neck/shoulders, max distance decreases by 10-15 feet. If I could change something, I'd make the cable shorter, the battery bigger, waterproof, and maybe have a battery dongle that clipped to a collar. And have an option for ear hooks. I'd really like a 24-48 hour earbud that can charge in <90 minutes. I'd much rather have this style, than the neckband style, or true wireless earbuds. I couldn't find a better set of bt earbuds (>18-24 hours of battery, and in-ear), so I guess this remains as the best choice for me. If you're looking for earbuds with long battery life, maybe check the jlab epic sport2, various tozo, and anker soundcore sport x20, v30i. Hopefully there will be some better offerings in the coming year or two. Overall the Sony WI C100 seem to offer a very good value, and probably one of the safest earbud buys if you're looking for battery life.

Possible budget option but definitely cons
I really wanted to like these more...in fact, initially I thought they were great, but the more I've used them, the more I've considered returning them. These replaced a few-years-old LG Tone headset/headphones so I compare these to those. That was my preferred style/pair (a plastic band worn across the back of the neck, with the earbuds coming out the ends but easily connected to the band ends by magnets. I first got LG Tone as a gift about 10 years ago, for my first Bluetooth headphones, and liked them so much I would just get the same (on eBay) every few years when one of the earbuds would lose its sound (cord wearing down), but now they are not available. I don't like the airpods style for several reasons -- I don't like the hard plastic in my ear, don't think they fit well/stay in place well, are too easy to lose since they aren't conjoined, and the controls are too difficult to use effectively for my big fingers (e.g. adjusting volume/track). So for this Sony pair, pros and cons: PROS 1) battery life is EXCELLENT, this is one aspect far superior to the former LG pair; the box says 25 hours and that might be right--i use at the gym for roughly 3-8 hours a week, and I've charged them just TWICE in the two months I've had them 2) value is good as they are under $20 for a name-brand 3) sound quality is solid, especially for the price - there is supposed to be some special sound processing tech, not sure if it's any better or worse than the "aptX" the LG's had 4) charging is easy with a USB-C connection (no a cable isn't included, but I have like 10 extra cords lying around, they are pretty ubiquitous these days and I'm sure you can get one for like a dollar if you didn't happen to have one) CONS: 1) connection stability is POOR - they drop the connection generally once a listening session, which gets really old fast. The LGs I previously had would only do this roughly once every 50 uses or so 2) they can take forever to pair (sometimes up to two minutes), and it only does it automatically when turning on roughly half the time without going into the phone's menu to connect them 3) design does not necessarily work well when "active," e.g. at the gym -- draping them across the back of the neck, with the "L" on the left and the "R" on the right, they constantly shift around, making them frustrating to wear -- another reviewer (must be a short/small person?) suggested the cord length in between the L and R control "boxes" should be SHORTER?? but for me they need to be significantly longer. For reference, I am 6'2" (1.87 m). With them worn this way, the controls are also not intuitive to use (and it's also annoying you have to press and hold the + or - buttons for like three seconds to go to previous or next track) **[As I write this review, the connection just dropped! Then clicking connect on the phone, it only connected for phone audio, then dropped again entirely]** 4) when they initially connect, or re-connect when it invariably drops, often there is a long delay for the audio, like 10-20 seconds after you hit play and they actually start playing through the buds 5) trying to re-connect them as I write this review, they refuse to re-connect despite three attempts (oh wait, now it finally did on the 3rd attempt and after turning off and on, and after taking around 45 seconds to connect) **I discovered they are better to wear with the ears flipped -- drape across the back of your neck but with the L on the right and the R on the left, and then place into the corresponding ear, so they crisscross across the bottom of the front of your neck/upper chest. This way the controls are in easy reach of your right hand, and they stay in place better (mostly).

Great Sound and Excellent Battery Life
Iโm really happy with these Sony WI-C100 wireless headphones. They are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear for long periods. The sound quality is clear, and the built-in microphone works well for hands-free calls. The battery life is excellent, and I love not having to constantly recharge them. The buttons are simple to use, and the flexible neckband makes them convenient to wear while working out, walking, or just listening to music around the house. The IPX4 water resistance is also a nice bonus.

Good audio, great battery, unusable design
Audio quality is fine, initial pairing was kind of annoying but part of that is definitely Samsungs fault. My issue with these is there was zero thought put into the design. There is no chance any testing was done on these before going to market. I assumed Sony would be a safe bet for headphones but I was clearly wrong. The cable around your neck doesn't stay in place and the headphones are constantly falling off if they aren't in use. There isn't any magnets on the back of the ear buds like every other pair of this style headphone has. Also the volume button control is upside down. If you don't wrap the cord around your neck and wear them like regular corded headphones with the cable hanging in front of you then it's in the correct orientation. It just shows extremely poor planning of the design. Battery life is very good though. And it tells you what % the battery is at every time you connect which is nice.

Surprisingly good for a cheap headset.
For the price... pretty amazing actually! Are these amazing headphones? Absolutely not. These are cheap, mass produced, molded plastic, bulk-item headphones with maybe $10 of parts in them. Probably very similar in raw hardware to the flood of $20 headsets on the market for half of the price. HOWEVER, what these offer that the others don't are actual software enhancements that work, an actual watterproof rating, real support if something goes sideways, and some amount of quality control. There are a few minor gripes though... whoever thought that volume and next should be the same button needs to be drawn and quartered. I realize this has been a trend for a while now... but is it too much to ask for nice things? Would a 2nd rocker switch cost THAT much more? I somehow expect better from Sony as my last neckband headset from them had this feature and it was a real life-saver at times, but it doesn't look like their higher end headsets offer it either. Another annoyance is that there is no ridgid/structured neck piece. Having a loose wire is fine if I am sitting in a chair with both ear-pieces in... But I am typically doing something active, and often having to pop one ear-piece out to talk to someone or to listen for something, and in the few hours I have had it this has already been a problem where it immediately goes flying around. And again... even the higher end offerings don't have this anymore... its annoying... fix it Sony!

Works great
These have always been my go to headphones. The battery lasts forever and the sound is great. I usually keep a spare on hand for when I misplace them. The last pair I had, the device itself outlived the wear and tear. The small rubber part that turns it on and off got brittle over the years and it became a pain to power on. Outside of that they still worked perfectly. Have a new pair now. Love them still.

Wonderful.
I had a Sony WB X400 and have been using it for a few years. Also have had Boat and a few. WB X400 is class apart for it's sound quality, built quality and water resistance, magnetic in it was close to neutral in magnetic activity. This headset is 90% similar to WB X400. Three things the immediately stand out, if one is a biker and wants a small inear headset under the helmet, look no more this is it. If your house is roughly 3,000 sq feet and you leave your phone at one place, still good for calls and music over Bluetooth. It you wear it, we'll it is so light, doesn't feel like it is there around ones neck or collar. Two things, I would have wanted more, better ear cones and sound like XB400.
