GIFTWITHSWAGGER 8 Inches Brass Finish Double Sided Victorian Vintage Station Wall Clock

This has been a repeat purchase, and book marked in my favorites for more gift purchases.The only problem is the small slit for changing batteries, but it makes up for by the wieght and evenness of the tone of the external body.

Why have I not given it a 5-star rating? Because I had read a few poor reviews (about the clock on one side stopping after a while; about alignment problems etc) while purchasing. So, let me put this way... I am not yet giving it a 5-star rating. The vertical stalk was a bit misaligned when we opened the box and this made the clock not be perfectly vertical when fixed. Also one of the clocks is running a bit slow although both fresh batteries were inserted together. But it is the central piece of attraction in our living room (see photos). I had some gift vouchers and I only spent 500/- on this. So, let's see...

Product arrived even earlier than the promised date. Looks not as good as in the picture, in fact it's a bit garish and not at all like a vintage railway station clock. Even the print quality of the dial leaves much to be desired. The body of the clock is probably made of tin, beginnings of rust already showing inside on the hinge and elsewhere. I had to put petroleum jelly to prevent further rusting. The batteries provided with the clock are of some unknown brand. I hope they last. The durability of the clock's motion mechanism cannot be predicted at this early stage. So far it is giving proper time, that is all I can say. In short, I'm a little disappointed and I don't think it is value for money, considering the fact that other similar clocks were available in Amazon for around Rs 700-800, which is nearly half of what I shelled out.

Pathetic ! Inserting batteries itself was task. The hinges are rusted ,just refuse to open up. One side time unit is faulty. Very rare but one awaful product purchased thru Amazon. The price is not worth the product , just a rip off

The Finish of the product is really amazing and looks very classy. Worth the money.
