Better than expected! Definately worth the money!
I am not one to follow all instructions so I bought this seat so that I could ride with my husband and 18 month old daughter when my family goes on trail rides. It is too difficult to drive and hold her and not secure enough to just hold on to my husband. This seat was a perfect solution. Didn't see the U-bolts in the box at first but after purchasing more we did find them. Installation was pretty straightforward on my Grizzly 600 and we were up and riding in no time. The seat was quite comfortable on straight roads and uphill however on the downhills I found myself sliding off as the pad is a good 1-1 1/2 inches thick. My 7 year old son and 9 year old daughter had no problem staying in the seat (must be their smaller size). The back is quite roomy. Stores 2 chest protectors, 2 helmets, kidney belts, gloves, and still room to spare. Held a nice size cooler along with a days supplies including sweatshirts while we were riding. The arm rests do not open as some and might have been a nice improvement however it is extremely weather proof. After our weekend camping I did learn that if I fold up the bottom of the seat or remove it I was sitting on the actual 4 wheeler seat and had no problems not sliding around. Wouldn't really recommend it for "lounging" however due to the angle of the seat. Extremely comfy for riding however not a recliner. You won't be sorry you invested in this!

6 years going strong
I have had this box on my 2009 Polaris Trail Boss for over 6 years. Everyone in my family rides, and we have all agreed that this is by far the best box for storage, passenger comfort, and sturdiness. Not once has the box shifted or moved at all, even when the quad gets tipped on it's side. There are barely even any scratches on it. Also, I've never gotten water in the box from rain, so anything inside is always perfectly dry. The fact that the arm rests come so far forward makes it extremely comfortable for passengers, big or small. It feels very secure for kids, acting as a kind of seat belt. The kids will often fall asleep back there, and as long as I slide back a bit, there is little risk of them falling off. I did remove the bottom seat pad because the kids said it wasn't comfortable, so now they just sit directly on the Polaris seat. Of all the machines, my siblings want to ride with me because this is the most comfortable of all the box/seats we have. My one complaint would be that the latches are kinda junky. I wish they were more metal than plastic. One of the latches broke off about 3 years ago, but the one remaining latch is holding tight and I'm not at all worried about it coming loose. If my box ever breaks, I am definitely going to purchase another one of these. It is incredibly reliable, and the amount of storage inside is amazing! Totally worth the money.

Great Storage! Fantastic Storage! Buy it for the Storage! Has a few quirks.
As far as storage goes, this is it! I was able to fit 5 thin jackets, my first aid kit, a small plastic bin with snacks, water bottles and 3 small "lunch sizedโ coolers in it with a bit more room. The install on our โ04 Honda foreman was 1.5-2 hours. Hubby is handy. He had to take the rack off to install it. Iโm giving it high ratings because the storage is unbelievable. But here are some quirks. **The latches donโt stay closed. I was able to find a small carabiner that kept it latched well. **Donโt forget to take the seats off while traveling. We lost them somewhere on the road. We will attach the replacements with small screws. **I would recommend carrying water bottles in a container rather than throwing them in loose. They jostled around and hit the bolts, which put holes in our bottles. **We โbreak the rulesโ (gasp) and ride double. My husband and son (who are 5โ9โ) loved it. My adult daughter and I, who are 5โ4โ and shorter, didnโt love it. We couldnโt touch our feet and we kept sliding out. The hand grips didnโt help hold us back, since we were already sliding forward. We couldnโt reach over the arm rests to grab the rack (we are short). I ended up coming down a steep hill holding onto the back of the box and trying to balance on my tip toes. Not the most comfortable way to ride when you have a 2nd seat. I finally just sat on the main seat behind my husband, pushing him into the handlebars. In hindsight, some of those issues may have been our fault. Here are our plans to solve the dilemma. 1) We believe the seat is at a 90 angle, but our rack slopes down. We will reinstall with some shims on the front to make it tip back more. 2) We may have installed it too far back. We will move it closer to the driver seat so our feet can touch. 3) We may consider installing passenger foot pegs. 4) We may create some handles to attach to the rack that we can reach over to hold us sideways. So, the quirks may not be with the trunk as much as they are the ATV's sloping rack and the short people. The storage is amazing, and according to the manufacturer, thatโs why we buy it-NOT to ride double. Once we take care of the quirks, I think we will love this trunk.

Best bang for your buck
This a absolute great buy for anyone that owns a quad and needs extra cargo. Definitely not the biggest or the widest so it wonโt make the quad look odd lol. Just the right amount of space for a good day trip. Perfect size to kick back on when parked to enjoy a view. Install is simple and universal with all except maybe Polaris quads. The girlfriend loves it but doesnโt care too much for the seat while sheโs riding with me so thatโs easily detectable. When riding alone I donโt even use the seat just the back rest. The back resting pad is firm but not uncomfortable. The two latches do not work the best so I put two carabiners in the eyelets to prevent the case from possibly opening. Their isnโt necessarily a great seal but just enough of one to stop 95% of dust and water. Thatโs what Iโm fixing this week the second I get some free time. For just Esthetic purposes this is great and for utility you canโt beat it for the price. Way more room then it looks.

great quality but uncomfortable
The quality is great, the rear lid is great. The storage is great. It is sturdy, not flimsy or flexy. The rear latches are great. Very good molded plastic parts. The bad is- when they molded the back rest it is at 90 degrees to the seat, so it is very uncomfortable to sit in. The back rest should have been molded at 60 to 75 degrees so you can lean back a little. I had to make a shim from a 2X4 to raise the front so the back rest would lean back. I raised the front 2". This really helped. The cushion are good, but the seat could be thicker. The arm rests are molded plastic, thus hard. Cup holders would be cool. However, I would buy another. Price was good.

Great for our youngest
Our neighbor has a seat like this for the back of their four-wheeler and works great for their kids so we decide to get one for my youngest you can ride behind now. If you're smaller it also works for an adult because I tried it behind my boyfriend. Was nice and sturdy for him to sit and not wiggle around too much. The only downside was ours came damaged one of the clasps for the hatch was broke but we didn't want to have to go through sending it back so we just have one that locks it. At first we were like there is no way it's going to fit two helmets but it fit two helmets really nicely. This is really nice to have and this one wasn't very expensive but still sturdy.

Fit great on a 2012 Sportsman 500. Buying a second one!
*Edit* After a over a year from our original purchase, and using a second identical seat on another 4 wheeler all summer, I can still completely recommend this seat. If I had to get picky and drop one negative, I will say that for my applications (Newer Polaris Sportsmans 2012+) you do need to do some drilling to mount this seat properly. The couple holes in the ATV rack arent a deal breaker for me though. Also I would say its not 100% water proof, I have had a little water work its way into the storage area, nothing too bad, but enough to notice there was water inside. Id say its about 95% water proof. Spraying it down with the hose or pressure washer might get some water through the rear door. For $160 you cant beat this seat. Perfect to keep the kids safe on the back of the ATV while cruising around. Might not be super expensive looking and fancy but the seat pad is like 2 inches thick, comfortable and seems like a heck of a deal compared to most other seats that are 100+ more dollars. The fact that it has a ton of storage just makes this one a big winner. Both my young children love sitting in the seat so we've purchased a second seat for our other ATV.

Very nice lounger
Really happy with Price and quality of the box. Ony complaint is no gasket on the rear door. It WILL fill up with dust after a day of trail riding. Two motor cross style helmets do fit but tight! I was looking at used loungers, but this price was excellent for a new one!
