Review: A Comprehensive Collection for Exploring Ancient Biblical Literature - The Complete 54-Book Apocrypha offers an impressive collection of ancient Jewish and early religious writings that expands the reader's understanding of the historical, literary, and cultural world surrounding the Bible. By bringing together the Apocrypha, Deuterocanonical books, and Pseudepigraphal writings into a single volume, this edition provides an accessible reference for anyone interested in studying texts that have influenced religious thought for centuries. Whether approached from a historical, theological, literary, or academic perspective, the collection encourages readers to explore traditions, themes, and ideas that complement the canonical Scriptures while deepening appreciation for the broader context of the biblical world. It is a valuable resource for scholars, pastors, students, researchers, and lifelong learners who desire a more complete view of the literature of the ancient Near East and Second Temple period. Well organized and thoughtfully presented, this volume is an excellent addition to any serious biblical or historical library. Review: Great info just wish the cover was stronger - The book itself seems very thorough. I'm not real keen on the quality of the cover, as just holding the book and looking through it, the cover has started to curl up, which makes me hope it doesn't fall apart and come unglued from the spine... However, either way, the info is definitely very interesting. I actually purchased two apocrapha books, this one, and additionally "The complete 70 book apocrapha" (by Joseph Lumpkin) who is a theologist who gives what I believe to be thoughts on his interpretation and scriptures to back it up (author notes), but because I was confused with exactly how many books there truly are, and since there's conflicting info out there, I purchased both books. This book "The complete 54-Book Apocrapha", to me seemed like it would be more verbatim, in translation to the oriinal version and it states on the cover that this book is the "literal standard version" and I personally felt it seemed more correct. I took both books and looked at two different Psalms - Psalms 155 and compared them via both books and the 70 book apocrapha book was so much different than this book, that book has Psalms 155, listed under Psalms 153, and their Psalms 155 is completely different. I'm so confused..I decided it must be the interpretation of the author instead of a literal translation. I don't hold a lot of trust in that other book - I just wanted to toss that out here for anyone like me who was considering choosing one of the books to buy. Anyways, that book was damaged so I returned it. As for "The Complete 54-Book Apocrapha" it has been very interesting this far. I would recommend this one over the other 70 book apocrapha one that I mentioned in this review. Additionally, I ordered a 1560 Geneva bible from the KJV store online (not desertcart) and that's supposed to be delivered today. I plan on cross referencing some things in that version of the bible, it's a facsimile of the original and it's the version of the Bible originally brought to the United States so we will see.

Correlation between holy Bible and Enoch blew me away. Very nice quality book with thick pages.
I bought this book because I was looking for Enoch to read in my Bible to find that it wasnโt there. The correlation between the Bible and the book of enoch specifically blew me away. It gave me an in depth understanding of the flooding of the earth. It also made me believe that sirens (mermaids) are real. According to the book of Enoch, Due to the watchers (angels) sleeping with flesh and blood (humans, women specifically) on earth, the lord our God turned the women into sirens as their punishment. Fast forward. After reading the book of Enoch I asked one of my cousins if she had read the book of Enoch, and she asked me why I was so curious to read it but she seemed so against it and asked me if I prayed about reading it before I got it. I did say yes although I lied (god forgive me) but I felt condemned, idk why. The call ended up failing and I tried calling her back but she didnโt pick up. I ended up praying and talking to God, asking him if I should have read that book and is it even okay because I want to read the truth and not a lie. I ended up making my mind up that I would return this book. I never opened it again. I also didnโt get around returning it. Today I came across an amazing preacher Richard Lorenzo Jr. on YouTube whom I watch all the time. He was praying in tongues for 1 hour and he mention the book of Jude. Right after He was giving a prophetic message in a different video about a shift happening in the kingdom of God and he was referencing a couple names of books in the Bible and those I donโt remember but I heard โJudeโ for the second time. I kept repeating to myself โI have to read the book of Judeโ. God makes no mistakes, and there is no such thing as a coincidence. I read it (the book of Jude) and it gave me confirmation. I began to read and In Jude 1:6-7 I understood it, and in my head I referenced it to Enoch and highlighted it thinkingโฆ โI might be wrong and this might be talking about something totally differentโ. As I continued I came across Jude 1:11-15. It was then I knew that the lord our God lead me to the truth of Enoch. For Mathew 21:18-22 is proof that we receive whatever we ask for in prayer if we have faith. And our God does not lie. Thus proof to me that consulting with God first within everything we do in prayer will be revealed in its ordained time with God. Amen.

Insightful and Transformative
This opened my eyes in a powerful way. It pushed me to think more critically, question what Iโve been taught, and explore spirituality on a deeper level. Itโs a great choice if youโre interested in expanding your understanding of spiritual truth and possibility.

Doesnโt follow the modern narratives! Whew!
Word for word, the best. Thereโs so many things that modern Bible has taken out of context or changed to fit the modern narrative. This is version wonโt, keeps it original and a lot more. Not for the faint of heart, so be ready to be emotional in a positive way! Dragons, giants, the four rivers WITH NAMES! And a lot more!

Great information at affordable price
Love this book which includes many writings not in the Bible. If you want to understand God and the Bible better and if you want instruction in wisdom, this is a great book to have in your reference library. I have a book which contains the books of Enoch which wonderfully explains the fallen angels, nephilim and hybred creatures which resulted in God destroying all life, except Noah & family. Enoch even describes the end times and parallels much of what is described in Revelations. Purchased this book because it contains Jasher and Jubilees which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Many questions I had regarding WHY certain things happened in the Bible are explained in these two books. For instance, why Rachel took her father's idols. It was not for the value of these small idols, but rather so her father could not use them for divination to discover where Jacob and she were. Or....why Lot's daughters got their father drunk in order to conceive children. They thought the whole human race had been destroyed and their only chance of children was through their father. As with any historical writings, it is best to pray and use discernment in accepting them as true and accurate; however, if we ignore these ancient texts, we cannot fully understand all the nuggets of truth in the Bible. I believe God has preserved these writings for our better understanding as we near the end times. He does not want us to be without knowledge. As the Bible states, "for lack of knowledge, the people perish."

A really great book,
Such an awesome book, a lot of information in the book itself, the only thing I could say would have been better is adding the full book of Giants and the full chapter of second Enoch where it talks about Melchizedek. But still, it is a great book, I still love it and is definitely worth the price. I showed my Poppy all the information on it and now he wants one. So is worth the price and definitely recommend this, this is a great book.

Analysis of Physical Book and Kindle Version
I am very pleased with having this book because it has scriptural texts that could infer or further clarify stories or circumstantial events, providing more details on events such as Adam and Eve's life, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, etc. Since many people might not consider these books to be canonical books and a part of the Bible, they should be taken seriously, and an in-depth study needs to be done. I have not begun reading it yet, because I have read other reviews saying that there are pages out of place, which is true, at least with the physical book, and I believe the kindle version too. I have also gone through the book to make notes on which pages are out of place, since I don't want to throw out the book, as it does have immense value and I believe will strengthen the faith of many people and be a supplement to what we know to be mainstream canon in the western world (depending on denomination of Judeo-Christianity). Here is the list I have made to show which pages are in their correct or incorrect place: 1pg-274pg (correct place) 277pg-278pg (Reverse from pages below) 275pg-276pg (Reverse from pages above) 285pg-286pg (Reverse from pages below) 283pg-284pg (Reverse from pages above) 293pg-294pg (Reverse from pages below) 291pg-292pg (Reverse from pages above) 301pg-302pg (Reverse from pages below) 299pg-300pg (Reverse from pages above) 303pg-747pg (correct place) Also, the section at the beginning of the book under, "Key Facts", within the sub-section, "Numbers",. It says that the book contains (1541 chapters) and (24,444 verses), but with the possibly of these numbers being wrong and the issues that other customers have had with the book (also some faint print on the later half of the book), I checked a few times over just to be safe on the count, I have only found (1540 chapters) and (23,323 verses). As I mentioned this issue, I could be wrong with my count, but I also wrote down every single chapter and verse count for each book to make sure, and have a precise count in case people were curious about it. In conclusion, overall, this book is a wonderful addition to Biblical texts, and I highly suggest buying it if you are willing to have the possibility of getting a copy that has misprints or binding issues.
