Replacing a couple office chair wheels that went bad on an old comfortable chair. The steel pocket insert was better than the plastic insert that originally, and for little dollars chair is back in service.

I was looking for replacement wheels on my Ridgid shop vac. Lots of options online. There were some that cost about $16 for ONE wheel. These were $4.50/2wheels. So, I bought 2 packs. They came with mounting sockets, which I did not need. The nub at the top of the shaft was about .5mm to large in diameter, and I read about other people enlarging the receiving socket with a drill to allow them to fit. I chose to use a bench grinder, and in 5 minutes had all four installed and working just fine. If they don't last, I will update this review. Not bad for $9.00!!

It fits my 20+ yr old Ridgid shop vac. It's very snug, but it works and I have a spare for the next brittle wheel that breaks off. I can't rate it higher because this is not a sturdy item. It's cheap plastic, like the one it replaced, and it should cost less than it does. I would never buy this for my own project. It comes with the female adapter as though you might want to install this in a new project. Don't. Get something more sturdy. Plenty of sturdy options for the same price are out there. Hollow plastic wheels are a terrible option for anything in the era of Amazon. Some advice if you're looking for a shop-vac. Get one with solid wheels. More than 4 is better. My Fein is far superior (and outrageously expensive), but Ridgid has vastly improved shop vac quality since I bought this thing, and hey, It still works this many years later. Using it to suck grit from a hot tub now. Who knew it could do that? Nothing to do with these wheels, but what the heck.

Ok, I am sure these would be great on what they’re designed to go on. However, I found they are better built than replacement wheels for my large Shop-Vac. The size of the wheels are a smidge bigger than the original Shop-Vac wheels. So now my Shop-Vac looks a bit like an 80’s street rod a bit jacked up in the back. Soon, I’ll be replacing the other two to level it up with the heavier duty wheels.

Thes are easy to install, and I think a good value for the money since they are inexpensive. They don't work great on chairs unless no one is seated on them. They roll great, but once they are under weight, i.e., sitting on the chair, and try to scoot forward or backward, the casters don't rotate fast enough and skid. They would probably be ok for furniture that you don't move often. I would not use these for chairs. I will be looking for a replacement.

These fit the ridgid wet/dry vac wd4070 without the metal sleeves that come with them, they are slightly larger than the original ones so I suggest replacing both

These worked well with a little carpentry adjustment to replace broken casters- I'm pleased with the result. I suggest comparing the old casters to these before you order. The wheels roll well and they are built well for our heavy TV stand/bookcase.

I bought these wheels to replace a wheel that wouldnt move on a ferret nation cage. Fit perfectly and it rolls. What more could you want from a wheel?

The wheels are the perfect fit for my cart but the metal piece they fit into isn't. Luckily, the plastic pieces my cart has are still intact.
