Perfect solution!
We had a situation where we needed a doorstop between a standard inward-opening door and a sliding barn door, but that would not be a tripping hazard. This product fit the bill perfectly! Not only is it low-profile and simple to install, it actually works, stopping our steel rear entry door, even when opened with some force. Highly recommend.

Almost Perfect.
Excellent door stop. My ONLY complaint is that the dimensions and drill depths are all metric. Hence, the door and floor drilled holes are either a tad too big or small unless you have metric bits. But, the product itself works like a charm and I'm pleased.

You will love this!
This was better than I had hoped it would be. I have had a problem with a wedge i used to keep the door open up against my door stop, only it would loosen up or i would kick it loose and I had to keep putting it back in place. This has been going on for many years. I came across this Fantom Doorstop add and it caught my attention. I thought about it and decided to give it a try after thinking it might work. It works, It works. Did I say it works? Plus it is so fun to operate it. I give the door a little push and click it stops and stays right there. Now to close the door you can hardly notice there is any pull on it. And it is so clean looking on the floor, so much better that the door stop I had. I give this an A+++. I'm getting more.

Worked well for the first year or so then plunger won't move.
How do you fix it when the plunger gets stuck and won't pop up any more?

RED FLAG ALERT
Review written by hubby.Tried it in the bathroom. Drilled a hole in the floor. Everything was lined up, but door just swung past it. I triple checked the installation. Everything was perfectly aligned. Still didn't work. So I bought a Big Floor mount to cover the hole in the floor. EXACTLY what I was trying to Avoid.A year later.....Still had this product, so I decided to use it in the kitchen to keep the door from hitting the fridge. BIG MISTAKE #2.Again followed the instruction to the "T.". Because the kitchen door is an exterior door, It's heavier and I didn't want to it to damage the fridge from the door handle hitting it. So, again, the magnet wasn't strong enough to lift the pin out of the floor and stop the door. So now I have a another hole in another floor. (This is when I began cursing myself for believing again that it would work). Bought another commercial door stop to cover the gaping hole in the floor and now have a big ugly door stop that is a trip hazard and a toe buster. This has to be said. I have 45 years of commercial construction, so I'm no novice. This product is a good concept, but horrible execution. Save the expense and and the holes you'll have to cover later, or repair / replace flooring. See photos to see how I temporarily covered the holes until I can replace the floor boards.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Check the space between your door and your floor before you buy this
This is a good design - the idea is really neat, a door stop that hides inside the floor and silently doing its work. However, I found 2 issues with this door unit and I'm taking one star off of each issue (granted one of it is kinda my fault, but there was no way for me to foresee it by reading any reviews or product description - so, taking a start off.1. My door is too close to the floor that the plastic rim cannot fit under it. It's an unusually snug fit for the door but I can totally imagine other doors like mine out there, and people need to know this before they purchase. I ended up getting a power tool and a frostner bit and dug a hole of about 2mm to accommodate the plastic part that sticks out; also had to chisel about 2 mm from the bottom of the door to accommodate the metal plate under the door.2. the force is not quite strong enough for my door and I had to turn the auto-close hinge force down a notch for this to work, but that's really inconvenient. On the pro side, the door stopper looks really cool (you don't really see it and it just does its thing) and I can foresee no maintenance for this in the future, so I can put my mind at ease. Again, good idea, good design. If you can put up with the 2 issues I had above, get it.

Great little gadget for door installs where traditional stoppers won’t work.
This thing is pretty awesome. As other reviewer’s have said, the only drawback is the bit sizes being in metric. I googled some conversions and went to the next standard size up. Usually it was only about an eighth of an inch too big which caused no issues in my install. You hardly see it on the floor and it works great.

Low Profile
I installed two new French doors and a handicap ramp for my parents. The latch works well, holding the doors secure, but not too strong or stiff for my elderly parents to use them. The low profile allows their walkers to roll over easily. The only drawback is that the metric dimensions do not match an exact fraction equivalent and large mm drill bits are difficult to find in my area, so I had to drill the hole a bit large.
