ID-COOLING FX 280 PRO SE CPU 280mm CPU Liquid Cooler for Intel & AMD

Good quality, easy installation, Keeps my cpu cool, fit literally perfect in my 280mm supported case, I had no problems getting it to work, looks good and is really quiet I recommend this and I would buy it again.

Cooler was pretty easy to install. My motherboard has some big heatsinks, and I needed to squeeze the radiator in the case. It's quiet under 75% load. Once it hits 80/85% and up on the fans, you'll definitely hear it. On the upside, my Ryzen 5 7600x never goes past 86C (and that is stock. No Curve Optimizer, undervolting or anything). There's no real RGB lighting or anything, but the logo on the pump/sink lights up a sort of off-white. It looks good. Packaging was really nice, the radiator and fins were nice and straight and not bent. The fans, themselves are pretty nice. They don't look or feel cheap. I removed the SATA power adapter, the pump runs fine off the motherboard connector. If you look at this radiator and compare it to, say an Arctic, the Arctic radiator is noticeably thicker. It's something to consider, but for the price I paid and for the performance i'm receiving, i'm not complaining at all. EDIT (After a few months) I had to replace the fan y-splitter cable. I coiled it pretty tight and probably damaged it, one fan would spin up to 100% but the reported rpm would be low and the other fan would spin at the lower rpm. I think the splitter cable is fragile/stiff, and honestly I did some weird tricks to hide the cable in my case. Very good value cooler, and i'd buy ID Cooling products in the future.

This is a great AIO cooler. Everything you need is inside. Super easy to install as well. I love the black color with the white led on the cooler. Performance is awesome! I have never had an issue with temps. I also love how I can switch it to other cases with no problem. It fits all cases. The durability on this thing is also amazing, great solid quality material.

Especially at higher RPMs ▷ The fans do their job without being obnoxiously loud as well. The loudest noise they make is from pushing air through the radiator when at higher RPMs. ▶ No Frills ▷ Installation was quick and easy ▷ Only 2 connectors / cables for the whole unit (one for the pump, and one for the daisy chained fans) ▷ Neutral design on the pump for both the lighting and logo (white LED ring with backlit pentagonal logo) ▷ No additional software needed to operate the unit ===CONS=== ▶ Pump ▷ Pump does have a noticeable hum to it at 100% speed, but reducing the speed to 75-80% makes it virtually inaudible over the rest of the system fans ▷ Wish the tubing connecting the pump and radiator was a little bit longer for easier routing ▶ Fans ▷ Wish the fan motors were quieter. Don't get me wrong, they are quiet, but they do make a noticeable sound. Overall, the sound isn't that disrupting to me because I am able to keep the fans spinning at a constant PWM of 35% (~750RPM) while maintaining great temperatures on my i7-11700K during most usage scenarios. ▶ Lighting / LEDs ▷ Very minor, but you can't turn off the LEDs on the pump even if you wanted to because their activation and brightness is directly controlled by the voltage being supplied to the pump. ===OTHER THOUGHTS=== I recently upgraded the CPU in my PC that I built back in 2021 from an i5-11600K to an i7-11700K. As part of the upgrade, I wanted to replace the CPU cooler I was using (be quiet! Dark Rock 4) because I had planned to transition the i5 and the previous CPU cooler into a Media Center PC build. Paying $49.99 (pre-tax) for a 280mm AIO feels like a steal because even the cheapest 120mm AIOs are sold at around $35 in price. So to only pay $14.99 more (pre-tax) to get OVER DOUBLE the amount of surface area is more than worth it! I have this cooler mounted as a front intake using a push configuration on my be quiet! Pure Base 500DX case. I ensured to mount the radiator inlet / outlet tubes oriented at the bottom to aid in preventing air bubbles from frequently entering the pump. I had originally wanted to mount it at the top of my case as an exhaust using a push config but I was unable to due to some clearance issues with the dual 8-pin CPU power cables going into my motherboard. Due to the physical size of the GPU I am using and the relatively compact nature of the case I am using, I had to route the tubes over the top of my GPU because the tubes are relatively short and it was the only way I could ensure the inlet and outlet remained at the lowest point of the loop. But, aside from a minor aesthetic difference, it was no big deal because I was able to get everything (tightly) squeezed in without any clearance issues. Overall, installation was easy although the installation guide was pretty minimal on instructions provided. I did not use the included thermal paste as I have another paste I prefer to use (Zalman ZM-STG2) so I cannot comment on that. I really like that they have a "daisy chaining" connection for the included fans so only having to connect and route 2 total wires was very nice. As mentioned in my Pros, I am running this on an i7-11700K. I have the pump set to run at 75% until the CPU temp reaches a sustained 90C where it then increases to 90% and then up to 100% if temps were to reach a sustained 95C. I have the fans configured to run at 35% PWM until CPU temperatures reach a sustained 90C where they increase to 70% PWM and then up to 100% PWM if temps were to reach a sustained 100C. Under normal gaming and usage loads, the pump never increases its speed past the 75% mark and the fans never increase their speed past the 35% mark which means that everything remains cool and quiet! This is one of the benefits of running a larger radiator with larger fans is that you are able to run everything at lower speeds to reduce noise levels while still maintaining low temperatures (see the Pros for more details on the CPU temps). To conclude, for the price point and the performance this cooler offers, I am beyond satisfied with my purchase and definitely recommend this cooler for anyone looking to get a no-frills, high performance, 280mm AIO without having to break the bank or pay for things like RGB, USB connection or other non-essential features.

I'll be honest upfront, I either didn't receive a manual in the box or somehow lost it in my tiny little workshop immediately after opening it. I was not able to find a pdf for the manual anywhere, nor any written instructions, so I watched a few youtube videos specific to this exact part and my socket as well as a few others using this part with amd and newer intel sockets. It seemed reasonably simple and the video I used as my main guide ran through the installation in less than five minutes. It did not turn out reasonably simple. The mobo had an unremoveable heatsink right in the way of the only place I could mount it (at the top with the radiator facing out), so I spent some time figuring out that it not only couldn't be removed, it prevented ANY of the mounting screw holes from being accessible. This turned into a truly frustrating experience (hopefully I didn't damage the mobo with my delicate but increasingly frustrated attempts) to at least replace the heatsink with something with a lower profile by mere millimeters thiough with [almost certainly] better performance via fresh thermal compound and a proper copper heatsink. So I wound up being forced to jury-rig some vent holes in the case to hold it in the correct position, so that wasn't too terrible despite the waste of time. Then came replacing the cpu (quick, easy) with a same-gen but much higher performance option with the hope this cooling system would allow for significant overclocking. This was truly a nightmare, and in my case would have been completely impossible to do alone - I had to enlist some help to hold the bracket in place. We kept dropping parts into the case due to the difficulty in access (can't imagine how aggravating and difficult this would be if you had a big gpu or a smaller case.) Still, most issues were our fault and while my particular hardware seemed to be determined to prevent this thing from being installed, this were progressing. Finally, the end! I put the thermal compound on the cpu and begin carefully pulling back the sticker on this AIO's heatsink. It was a children's sticker. The kind where the top tears off from the adhesive, leaving it behind - and this was done with actual care and slowly. Took a good hour with a gradual intensification of equipment and effort from some quality tweezers and isopropyl alcohol to razor blades and goo be gone. I couldn't believe they would put this sort of sticker on their heatsink, but they sure did. The whole thing took over an hour and a half, most of it with the help of a second person. I'm pretty good with this sort of thing, especially since my work revolves around similar upgrades to servers and high-end desktops for AI inference, but this was just awful. No extra parts either, you lose something, you're done. And the sticker was just... I mean seriously, what in the heck. I haven't yet turned this machine on, I'm pretty doubtful it survived this process, but we will see. Still, the time it took to install, lack of direction, relatively poor design, and all that make me wonder if I should hide behind a wall when I first turn it on lest the fans explode and impale me with plastic fan blade ninja stars. I will never buy from this manufacturer again. Spend an extra few bucks and get something decent, not this monstrosity. Both of us walked away after finishing in a near-rage and we don't even know if it works yet, it really was just that aggravating. It's not worth your time or the life-long cpu cooler PTSD you will acquire.

initially bought as a 'cheap' replacement while i RMA'd the one I was using, but its given exactly similar cooling results - and has the bonus of a non fear inducing tension clip system. Two things to note - 1) the included thermal paste tube is moronically long for the amount included (enough for atleast 1 pasting - I had to do 2 because of a case / number of hard drive issues - technically the tubes could be a few inches longer - mines mounted at the front tubes down), and 2) the fans I cant get down below 820 rpm no matter what fan control is set to (have to poke around in bios maybe - user error? probably). Also note The LED's Do Not Turn Off (I might desolder them actually....) weird how the LED-less one is more expensive. meh

I actually thought because of the price of this thing that it would be bad. I got it on sale. But its been pretty solid. I have put in over 500+ hours in on high settings and its been doing good. No overheating.

Used this on a server upgrade, so it doesn't see gaming, but it does process 4K security camera feeds and videos via Plex transcoding. HW monitor shows max CPU temp so far has been 54.8C with 100% core utilization, which is well within the Ryzen's max temp. Install was easy, so I'm happy for getting a functional cooler for the price paid.

Update: many hours have passed of me gaming on it and cooling my Ryzen 7 9800x3d (upgraded from 7800x3d) and it’s been flawless. Also the bubbles and gurgling was my fault, it was the way the tubes were positioned. It is SO quiet! Even with my cpu sitting at 73 degrees and fans are at like 40%. Amazing. Old review: Very good price for a 280mm aio. Managed to cram this into a cooler master nrp200v2. I swapped the fans for RGB ones from Arctic but you should be fine with the ones that come with the cooler. Performs well. I have a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and it keeps its cool and is quite quiet. Only issue I noticed is after a really long and hot gaming session, the cooler starts to gurgle with bubbles. A bit annoying. I made sure to tilt it and get air out of the pump but it might be because it got so hot. Anyways I think it might be my fault as I played around with fan curves. Another thing to note, if your pump light is not fully lit up then your port on the Motherboard isn’t giving 100% power and might damage your pump with time. Also no way to turn off the light but that’s fine.

I have several AIOs from Corsair in my computers. I bought this AIO because I needed something cheaper and equally good. I was completely surprised by this model. Very easy to install and extremely quiet and effective in operation. No RGB, but I didn't need it in this computer, no monitor on the pump (I didn't need it either). However, they operate very quietly and keep the processor temperature low. AIO is not big. Only 280mm but very good. I use it to cool the Intel i7 12700K processor. I play a lot on this computer and I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this AIO. I highly recommend. You won't spend much money, and competing companies demand a lot of money for their AIOs. Why overpay?

Acquistato attratto dal prezzo,quando ho ricevuto l'articolo mi sono ricreduto per la qualità. Svolge in maniera eccelsa la sua funzione di raffreddamento. Esteticamente anche bello da vedere con il led "flebile" sull'attacco cpu. Io ho preso la versione con le ventole da 14 e per quanto riguarda il flusso d'aria è notevole, naturalmente per avere il regime di rotazione affinchè sia silenzioso va settato dal bios o utility della vostra scheda cosa che molte volte non è automatica. Acquisto consigliato.

Been working strong for about 8 months now, I would personally recommend, especially for the price it was when bought.

I brought this to replace my corsair, my corsair started leaking and sadly died on me after a few years.. I was buying something cheap because i have an (i7-5960x). I was waiting for an RMA to be approved... and well.... that was a month ago or so, I'M STILL USING THIS! Yes I got a brand new cooler, not the H115I i got the XT version that just came out, but I'm not using it! This cooler is amazing, I thought it was going to be something cheap, not that affective but boy was I wrong, this is keeping my (i7-5960X at 4.2GHZ) cooled to the bone as much as my old h115i was.. jesus... The fans are pretty basic, but boy, no sound issues here, as good sounding as my old H115is.. it's all plug and play, no firmware, software, nothing, plug it in and let it do the rest! I will be buying "ID" gear in the future if i can't find anything else where, this will be my goto.. if i ever need anything else! ID-Cooling, ID-FANTASTIC! You've gained me as a customer and any one that needs a new cooler, i'm recommending you!
