Presentation: This shaver comes in a very high quality box, with plenty of packing material (bags, high quality cardboard etc) keeping the shaver safe. Overall a very nice presentation when opening and taking out components out of the bags. Build Quality: The overall build quality of the shaver itself is incredible. It feels very rigid in construction and consists of mostly metal and grippy materials. The cartridge featuring 6 blades very high quality. The heads all maneuver in their own ways in order to shave around the contours of your face. The head itself also pivots every which way imaginable. The Shave: Being blatantly honest in this section. If you wait a few days, you will have to touch up sections of your neck. Whether it be with the trimmer or with another means entirely. It does not do a great job at catching those long flat laying neck hairs. HOWEVER, if this is your daily shaver and you don’t really take a break between shaves it does an excellent job. Again with a quick prep it will do the same if it has been a couple days or more. The closeness of the shave is insane. It is 100 percent comparable to that of a Gillette or other high quality razor. If you are new to electric shavers, it is important to base these results after about 10-15 minutes due to the use of pre shaves that may raise hairs. Allowing the hair to settle back into the skin will show just how close a shave this truly achieves. Cleaning Dock: This cleaning and charging dock will save you plenty of time post shave. Just pop the shaver in and press select and the default of clean and dry will occur. It does a solid job at cleaning up the cartridge and removing hair. The drying feature is awesome, no rust, or any kind of issues that come with moisture will be a concern. Highly recommend the dock. Is It Worth It?: If you are looking for the absolute closest shave attainable from an electric shaver and have the funds, yes. However there are cheaper alternatives that are about as close such as the Arc 5. If you are considering buying this shaver, I cannot recommend the dock enough. In for a penny, in for a dollar.

For years I used Philips Norelco shavers, including the top of the line. Then I switched to the Braun Series 9, also the top of the line. When my Braun began to deteriorate, or so it seemed, I got the Arc 6, and I’m never looking back. It shaves so much better than Braun and Norelco. Shaves far more quickly and easily, shaves much more closely. Uses less charge per shave. Is radically more quiet than the Braun. It shaves so well, in fact that — no exaggeration — it makes my Norelco and Braun shavers seem like primitive toys. I’m serious when I say that. It’s no exaggeration. Just the simple truth. And this is after just two days of using it, when Panasonic says it should take a month for my face to adapt. I never had a self-cleaning Norelco, but the Panasonic cleaning system is as much better than Braun’s as the shave is. Braun requires awkward maneuvers with plastic cleaner fluid containers, which aren’t small. Easy for the fluid to spill a little, or get on my hands, and it stings! Panasonic just asks me to snip one corner from a small, convenient plastic bag, and smoothly pour the fluid into the place where it goes. So easy! Another Panasonic win. Of course I’ll see how this holds up over time, but so far it’s a triumph. Pricey, yes, but I shave every day. Anything that makes it radically quicker and easier worth every penny. My only complaint — a badly written manual that at first made me think the shaver was more finicky than it really is. I had to read everything, and put it all together in my mind, before I understood how simple this shaver is to use. I’d give this product 10 stars if I could.

ARC6 is a step up from the ARC5 I have used for many years. The shave is very smooth and takes less effort than my old ARC5. Six blades does make a difference. I bought the cleaning machine option since I have found the cleaning solution and cleaning process keeps the blades clean and lubricated better than other cleaning sprays and lubricant. Plus it's more convenient. Advice for replacing the head. There Chinese knockoffs sold by Amazon that are slightly cheaper than the real Panasonic heads. Check the seller when buying. Current genuine Panasonic head is sold and shipped by Amazon and is about $10 more than the knockoffs. I have seen comments about the head not lasting very long. Could be due to buying a knockoff. With Amazon read the fine print carefully before you buy.

My first time that I tried an electric shaver. It worked better than I thought. I just wished that it did a close shave. And for some reason it never shaved some parts of my hair no matter how many times I tried, particularly bellow the sideburns. It is as if it is 'ignoring" it completely. I think it said that it has AI? Maybe it was the AI at work? I did cut myself once using this, but I must have not been careful enough. I like the Cleaning fuction. The soap is a little expensive though. But overall it is well thought out.

Very good shaver. Shaves closer than any electric I've ever had. No problem with irritation, face burn, etc. Easy to clean. Seems to be good design and good quality. Can't yet addrress durability. Maybe later.

The unit worked great; however, in under three months, it started malfunctioning. The power was turning off and on while I was using it. And it felt like it was ripping my hair out of my face.

Panasonic ARC6 Electric Razor gives me the closest and most comfortable shave I have every had from a electric razor. I have purchased and used Braun and Norelco Electric shavers, but their shaves are not as comfortable or close as the ARC6. The only negative is a bit pricey.

I'm 77 years old and have used every imaginable way to shave for electrics to cartridges to double edge to straight razors and I swore I'd never use an electric again. Never say never. I have no choice now so I bit my lip and bought this unit. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was quick and very comfortable and gave a very close shave. Now when I say close it ain't like a straight razor and I have some double edge razors that shave almost like a straight and this doesn't match them however most typical DE razors? This shaves about as close. The last electric was a Panasonic ARC 4 and I've used a Braun #9 and this beats both. The cleaning unit is a bit fussy and I think the Braun is better though in the end the result is the same. Ergonomics are outstanding as it's build quality (This is made in Japan-not China) It's also pretty quiet. Of course it's $500 smackers and it says the battery has a 3 year life if you use it every day so factor that in. Before you buy any electric research thoroughly so it matches the kind of beard you have. So 7 months in I'm changing my review. I dropped one star because I now think the price is too high compared to what Braun charges. I also dropped another star and I'll explain why. So, about a month ago I started to realize the shaves were starting to deteriorate and the razor seemed to be going to a higher speed a lot and the head was getting very warm during use. I shave every other day and do have a coarse beard and it was obvious the blades were shot. After 6 months, that's bad especially considering a new replacement is $125. Sure there are knockoff replacements but if you are going to spend $500 for a razor and buy cheap China replacements why bother spending all that dough when you could just buy a cheap Chinese made razor to begin with. I don't look forward to spending that much every six months. From what I can see the Braun heads last way longer.

The Panasonic 6blade shaver from the start of opening the box to charging the shaver is built like a work of art from JAPAN ( not some china nock off ) Then when I used the shave for the first time it was nothing I have ever used before and all my shavers are the best of Braun being the Series 9Pro now. The shaver gives you a massaging affect of comfort and cuts through the hair like it doesn't exist. Please believe it is well worth the money as you won't be replacing it for many many years to come. The dual motors are in the head assembly and it orbits and pivots 360 degrees like a gimbal gyro scope built for planes. The fit and finish to the model body does not do it any justice in the photos as the surround behind head is all black mirrored chrome and the casting pivots are powered coated silver paint with the finest meticulous detail to the entire shaver, much like Nikon does on the Z9 I own from Japan as well. The hidden LED screen is really a nice touch that lights up and boldy shows the state info. The handle is very thin and easy to hold from the larger plastic Braun cases and the rubberized back grip is perfectly contoured to fit like a glove would. Wow I am not kidding this tool is an amazing work of art and must be seen and tried to believe how good it really is. I am so happy to have ordered it from Amazon as they carry everything we could ever want and will deliver it to your home in a timely manner. As the man says about the PATCH if your looking at this add then you need it and you have nothing to loose, so order it and try it as you won't send it back I can bet you the bank on that one. overall a great premium shaver first of all, this is a expensive shaver, there's no doubt about that this shaver is quiter than arc 4, which should be a plus to many people it also provides a surprisingly better shave than the arc4, as a user of arc4 for many years, i can tell this gives a better shave at faster speed, it's not just a larger shaving surface area i guess the design is also better, the shaving blade is attached differently, making it even safer to clean the inside of it on the other downside, remember this thing is expensive, which also means the replacement shaving blade is a league more expensive than the arc4
