Where is this tubing made?

I think you could safely assume it comes out of China but not sure.

How does this tubing connect to garden hose?

There are many conmecting adapters depending on what you want to accomplish. I connect the 1/4" tubing into 1/2" black main line tubing and use similar type of connectors this comes with (elbows, tees, or straight). The main line is low density polyethylene tubing which i use a punch to poke holes into, and then i use one of the connectors to connect 1/4" line into that. I doubt run of the mill garden hose would have the firm wall needed to connect this way, or last without leaking at connection sites. There are adaptors that screw onto the end of garden hose or other threaded spigots like rain barrels etc. I have not tried them and keep in mind most irrigation tubing need/recommend pressure regulation off of spigots, depending on your water pressure. My dads garden irrigation system has hooked to his well water spigots for 20yrs with no added pressure regulator, but i need to lower the water pressure from my city water fed spigots or risk damage to my irrigation system. Hope that helps.

The tubing is of moderately hard rubber or plastic. It bends readily to say 6" radius. It is not sponge rubber like some other brands. It worked well for me.
