Definite improvement
Replaced the glass platter on my old Planar 3 with this and it makes a noticeable difference. Background is quieter , the separation between instruments and voices is improved and the overall sound is a little less bright. Worth noting that my deck is quite heavily modified - new Rega motor and PSU, ceramic bearing, metal sub platter, etc. A very slightly loose fit on the sub platter spindle, but easily remedied with a sliver of PTFE tape. Nicely made and quite a bit cheaper than alternatives from GrooveTracer et al. Good value.

You will need to raise vta, which may be a problem with a Rega arm
Review for acrylic platter. When i first fitted the platter, the vta was out a bit. Once I adjusted the tonearm vta, all was fine. Looks awesome - like the records is floating. Sound is more balanced, without the over brightness. Bass is still very deep, but is more defined. This, along with sub-platter upgrade, is a wise move. Bring my Rega into a more Pink Triangle LPT-sounding deck. Love it. Thanks.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy replacement.
All that needs to be done is lift off the old platter and replace with this one, no need for the old platters woollen mat, place the new one onto the sub platter and your good to goโฆ..I was amazed by the improvement of the sound. Nothing could be easier, worth the money and an easy upgrade. There is a reason that REGA put acrylic/glass platters on the more expensive turntables.

Upgrade for my Rega Planar 1
This is a brilliant upgrade for anyone with a basic plate. I used this as an upgrade for my Rega Planar 1 and itโs made a massive difference to the aesthetic and sound, as well as nearly eliminating the wobble I previously had when playing records. Please note this is shipped from the US so delivery takes more time than usual, however I found mine was delivered way before the estimated delivery date which was a nice bonus!

Definitely An Upgrade
Been coveting this platter for some time to address a little vertical wobble with the stock one on my Rega RP1. And because it looks nice. Much ink has been spilled in online forums as to whether that's the result of a warped platter or the underlying sub-platter. In my case this new platter dealt with the vast majority of it. So definitely pleased on that front. There's some discussion in the reviews here about a difference in height between versions (or rather how much material is removed from the underside which sits on the sub-platter - how tall it ultimately sits in any case). And it would appear I received the "new" version that's slightly too tall for my particular stock Rega RP1. There's certainly a slight increase in VTA with even the stock Ortofon OM5E that came preinstalled on the TT. But as with all things turn table there's at least some debate about the overall effects of VTA not being perfectly level. However, I also replaced my cartridge at the same time with a Grado Opus3, which is taller than the Ortofon. The angle change was pronounced enough that I felt compelled to raise the stock tonearm with some washers (at least temporarily until I find a better solution, although the washers seem to be doing just fine). There's also some additional weight/mass on the acrylic platter. I didn't have any problems coming up to or maintaining speed or anything like that, however I also replaced the drive belt with the Rega EBLT Reference version at the same time and didn't test with the old one beforehand. In the off chance someone experiences start-up/speed issues that could likely offer a solution. Even if you're one of those hit by the height disparity of the new version to the point you need to fiddle with raising the tonearm on an entry-level Rega, it's hard not to see this as a "buy." The platter is very well made and similar versions from other makers are demanding at least double the cost. It's genuinely difficult to imagine anything significant the more expensive examples could improve upon. There was even a slight (but noticeable) sonic improvement, which was a welcome addition for a purchase intended primarily to cure platter wobble. Whether that's due to eliminating the wobble, the added mass, or something else entirely - I have no idea. But I'll take it. And it looks nice.

Quality Product, Worthwhile Upgrade
The new platter fits perfectly on my Rega P1. It does sound better (tighter bass, improved sound stage) but most importantly, it looks cool. I'm happy with the purchase.
