Birm Filter Media is a durable, carbon fiber-based filtration solution that efficiently removes dissolved iron, manganese, and other sediments from well water. Acting as a catalyst, it enhances oxidation reactions to convert soluble iron compounds into filterable particles. Compatible with gravity-fed and pressurized systems, Birm offers long-lasting performance with easy backwashing and significant cost savings due to its non-consumable nature.

Removes rust from water.
Our pool turned orange after filling with the city rusty water. The only way to remove it was to use this filter media in the pool filter. In less than 3 hours the water was crystal clear. I was one happy camper!

I GAVE THIS A 4 STAR RATING BASED ON PRICE. IT WAS THE BEST PRICE ON AMAZON, BUT WHEN I STARTED LOOKING FOR MORE, I FOUND THE SAME PRODUCT ON THE INTERNET FOR $13 DOLLARS LESS, WITH 2 DAYS FREE SHIPPING.

Didn't work
Don't know why but I kept getting small particles in my house water. I backflushed several times and did not correct the problem. Bypassed the filter canister.,
