Manuka Honey Eczema Therapy Cream - Colloidal Oatmeal Anti-Itch Relief

This is the first product review I’ve ever written in my life. Because most of the time, I just don’t care enough about a product— even if I really like it and it works, etc.— to sit down and write about it. But this is different. This cream has absolutely changed my life! I feel compelled to share my success with product so that others can get the relief I have finally found. On a good day in the humid summer, I have dry, itchy, sensitive skin. This month, after one of the worst Midwestern winters in history, my skin was completely destroyed— insanely itchy inflamed eczema bumps all over my body, flaking, peeling, bleeding, you name it. And at the end of last month, I discovered that I am pregnant (yay!). So my skin is even more sensitive than usual, and I can’t use many of the medicated creams that my dermatologist usually prescribes. I immediately made an appointment with my dermatologist and told him all about my recent skin woes: “As soon as I get out of the shower, I lather my whole body in Cetaphil lotion. I never skip this step, and I reapply all day long. And yet, my eczema is still running rampant! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.” He told me that oftentimes, lotions that come in a pump bottle (i.e. Cetaphil PRO) contain alcohol, which makes skin conditions like eczema worse. I went home and looked at the ingredient lists on all of my pump bottles (all of which claim that they’re specifically designed for eczema). Target brand Skin Calming body cream? Contains alcohol. Eucerin? Contains alcohol. Cetaphil PRO RestoraDerm? Contains three kinds of alcohol!!! Feeling completely dejected and frankly duped, I went online and did research on alcohol-free body creams. I purchased this one because I thought the price was decent, and I was encouraged by the ingredient list. But let’s be honest. By this point, I wasn’t holding out much hope. As soon as it arrived in the mail, I substituted Era Organics in my typical after-shower routine. I got IMMEDIATE relief from the itch, and within 48 hours, the size and inflammation of the bumps were both significantly reduced. One week later, the bumps were gone. Vanished! My skin went from literally bleeding to completely healed in one week. Now, my skin feels amazing and stays moisturized all day long. I don’t need to reapply constantly— I just reapply on my hands before bed, and that’s it. I found this product while searching for real Aloe Vera and Manuka Honey. Manuka Honey was previously prescribed by a doctor for my daughter’s skin problems from lupus. It is also prescribed for healing wounds, burns and mrsa. I decided to try this. Honestly, this elixir blows away every ‘luxury product’ on the market. The first application gave instantaneous physical relief from itching, burning and pain. It reduced skin inflammation within 12 hours. My daughter’s doctors and nurses noticed the improvement before we mentioned it! This is the first product we have fully used in a short time. When I came back to buy more, it was out of stock. I bought one of everything in the line looking for a substitute for elixir. They were all fine but none was an exact substitute. I contacted ERA by email (fast, knowledgeable customer service!). I discovered they are a small, family owned company in California. They currently sell only on Amazon. They source their organic ingredients all over but actually make their products in the USA. They also have a 30 day guarantee. I didn’t know it was possible to be more SOLD on the product. I have been looking daily for it to return. This ambrosia, elixir, is white with a light, whipped consistency. There is no smell or artificial fragrance. There is no alcohol, fillers, mineral oil or petroleum. There is no artificial coloring so no surprise blue or oily pillowcase. It did not stain or leave residue when dropped on fabric. The skin totally absorbed it within minutes. There is no oil or waxy residue or barrier, no matter how much you apply. Our whole family has used it on face and hands. It fully absorbed on dry, oily and combination skin. No one had burning, breakouts or pimples. It went on perfectly under makeup and when used over or under other treatments (retinol, etc) and masks. If you have allergies, do not forget to do a patch test! Elixir has more than a dozen different oils and plants. Since there are no fillers, the oil and plant amounts are not insignificant. If you have an allergy to one ingredient, it will matter.

It works well!! Takes very little!! The only issue I have with it is that I still itch l, but it does help!!

I have had eczema all my life. I've been dealing with red, dry patches on my face and neck lately. I put this cream on a couple times the first day and it's already clearing up . Thank you for a great product.

Living in a dry climate one can have multiple allergies. Recently, I have experienced ezcema like symptoms around my face, eyes and neck. I couldn't figure out what or where it could have come from so I decided to order this after reading the reviews and deciding for myself. Unfortunately, it has not helped as much as I would have thought or from what amazing results other reviewers had achieved. It has a light texture upon applying and instanting felt relief but then a sting right afterwards for a few mins. Around my eyes it remained red after applying and created dry patches. The instructions does indicate that you would need to apply 2-3 a day so I followed it but didn't feel like it was getting any better. For the price I was hoping for something more amazing. I have no choice but to continue on using it until there is nothing left because I am not wasteful. I do hope this works for other people that are considering buying it, sadly it just did not work for my skin.

I don't think I've ever left an Amazon review. EVER. But I think this product is worth leaving one for. My daughter started to have inflamed, itchy, dry, skin with hives when she was about 1.5 years old. It moves throughout her body but is primarily located on her wrists and thumbs. It's a terrible cycle of itchy, bloody scabby skin. We've seen a dermatologist, her regular doctor, an amazing allergist, a natural path and nothing has worked or helped improve her skin. I've had to use a low steroid cream when her skin is at her worst. I dread using it but it helps stop the cycle. All of her allergy tests have came back negative and her allergist said it might be impossible to actually find the cause. It could be non-food related. Stress maybe. After six years, we still haven't figured out what is causing her break outs. All that to be said, as her mom, all I look for is a way to give my daughter some relief. I've tried so many different lotions and creams, I can't even count them all. SO MANY. This has been the ONLY product to heal her atopic dermatitis overnight. I'm crying as I write this out of pure gratefulness and relief. This is how we use it: We wet wrap her skin. (If you don't know what wet wraps are, google it, it will SAVE your skin) We've tried other creams with her wet wraps but none have been as efficient as this on. We lather this cream on her entire hands and arms, wet two long pieces of zinc infused wraps (found those on amazon too) Place the wet wraps over her arms and then cover with Scratch Sleeves. This method has done wonders for her skin! I highly highly recommend this product! It's been such a life saver for us!

IF YOU ARE PURCHASING THIS ON AMAZON READ CAREFULLY BECAUSE WHAT IS STATED IN THE INGREDIENT LIST ON THE WEBSITE IS NOT ACTUALLY WHAT YOU GET. YOU WILL SEE EMULSIFYING WAX IS THE SECOND MOST ABUNDANT INGREDIENT AT THE MOMENT EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE STATES THAT COCONUT OIL IS. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE INGREDIENTS WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT YOU THINK YOU’RE BUYING. If you are purchasing this product after 2019, you are not receiving the original formula. This formula is not even close to the original, they literally redesign the entire thing for profit. When you are paying a premium price for a premium product you expect to receive just that. ERA ORGANICS, YOU NEED TO STOP FALSE ADVERTISING. This product now stings really bad which never used to be the case with the older formula. This is a simple but thick cream that absorbs quickly into the skin. It stays on and works for a while. It seems to do a good job moisturizing the skin and making the skin softer. It also alleviates any itchiness and soreness quickly. You get a decent amount in the container, especially since it doesn't seem like you need much to cover a decent area of skin. My one complaint is the lack of scent -- or remaining scent that there is. There are plenty of natural scents that might blend with the smell of this product and make it more pleasant. As it is now, it's not unpleasant exactly, but it smells like old clay kind of. It's not awful, but it doesn't make me want to use it either. Still the healing properties are enough to make me forget the scent.
