This is the BEST! Super solid, easy to install, great color and a great mechanisms. Locks, both lever and deadbolt, are so smooth and solid. The fit was perfect in replacing an existing old gold unit. Value is good, but just know you are paying for top quality, and it costs a little more. The Kwikset keying function is so easy and works really well. I bought 3 different exterior sets and rekeyed them all to one in about 10 minutes. Looks great both inside and out. Function is so smooth and easy, even the wife remarked on the smooth action. Very, very pleased, even at the cost.

Good Quality, easy install for replacement in my case. Everything included, nice finish, not sure of durability at this point. They do upgrade the look because of the contrast of the black finish; in my case on painted white panel doors.

'Doing complete exterior update and the door hardware was the last item on the list. Since I had a Kwikset Signatures Hawthorne Single-Cylinder with Deadbolt Smartkey Handleset (Venetian Bronze) and loved it, I decided to stay with Kwikset for this project. I chose the San Clemente for the low, flat profile and matte black color; but, really it is the easy re-key and dependability features that really matter. Additionally, the San Clemente fits exactly with the drill holes that the door already had. I mean everything fits...strike plates, deadbolt, handle position and even the support at the bottom of the handle. That is a big bonus if you happen to love your door, especially if it is metal clad. Directions included are straight forward and easy to follow. The one point where an extra hand would have been helpful is to hold the handleset while threading the screw for the lower support of the handle. The machined screw for this spot may be a bit challenging. If you have a metal clad door that screw may have pushed a bit of insulation into the receiving fitting. Never fear, pull the unit back out, use a sewing pin to grab out that nasty little bit and then reinstall. If your backplate for the lever is acting a little wonky, likely one of those two screws is not yet set...back it out a little and then drive it back in. Remember easy does it, work each screw and come back to each for final set. Resist the urge to crank one down first. I spent45 minutes to install and re-key Kwikset's fabulous San Clemente with Halifax Interior Lever Handleset. It's a clean simple look that will fit many styles, is easy to install, YOU can be re-key it any time you like....GO FOR IT!

I chose this brand because this is the brand that was already on the door and these things are not universal. Overall, I’m extremely happy with it. I wanted to go with a more modern look and the black does just that. It’s definitely a solid lock and I’m impressed with the quality. However, I think it’s inevitable that you drop one of these pieces while you’re trying to balance all of them and screw the pieces together. If and when you do that the black scratches off. This can also happen while you’re using the screwdriver. So, definitely have an extra set of hands and hold onto the pieces carefully so you don’t end up with scrapes like I did.

This front door handle set totally exceeded my expectations. The exterior handle is long and sleek, with a push-button thumb latch that feels sturdy and works smoothly. It really adds a nice, finished look to the front of the house. What I love most is the inside handle — it’s simple and clean, and it actually matches the rest of my interior door handles, so everything feels cohesive. Installation was straightforward, and the whole set feels secure and solid in your hand. It looks and feels like something that costs a lot more than it actually did. Highly recommend if you want a modern but timeless look! This video is after a year of uses and it still looks new!

I re did every door in my house with kwikset handles. They look amazing and add have been great. But here’s where I was really sold with kwikset. I had a problem with the finish of one of my handles years after installing them. I reached out and found out they have a great warranty on them. Customer service was fast. I spoke to someone quickly, who spoke English, who emailed out a claim form. After filling out the claim form and taking a few pictures of the damaged handle. I was done. Within a week I had a brand new replacement at my door. In these times where companies are shipping off their customer service to other countries, where you can’t get past thee endless robo operators to talk to someone, I was thrilled to do business with kwikset, who stand behind their products. I am a lifelong kwikset customer from here on out.

Time for me to replace the lock. I like the looks and also it's from the same manufacture but not exactly sure it'll fit my pre-drilled holes. Go out to H.D. to check it out and get measurements and it fits nicely. Cheaper on Amazon and takes few days to come in. Takes about 30 min to remove and install new lock. As you can see the top handle is about 1/2" shorter than the old one. So I need to touch up it later. Besides that I also need to extend the strikes of deadbolt and handle. One thing that I need to find out if I can reverse direction when you turn to lock the deadbolt. Right now I have to turn the key away from the frame edge in order for the strike to go into frame to lock it. Everything else in the house is doing the opposite way. It has some clever designs within the lock so it'll fit on any doors in my opinion.

Llego rápido y es muy lindo, con puerta de madera quedo fantástico, muy a la moda. No hay igual a la venta en las tiendas de hogar en Mexico, recomiendo mucho.

Una chapa muy elegante aunque tuve que devolverla porque no era compatible con mi puerta pero la devolución llego rápido y todo en orden

I originally ordered a wiser Greg one lock which had the same style of handle set. That lock was $50 more expensive than the quickset. I return the wiser to get the quickset as it looked exactly the same and it was also certified a grade one security lock. I was greatly surprised at the quality and how easy it was to install. some people might find it difficult to install and I admit that I had to learn a little bit more about how a handle and the lock works, but once you find out it was fairly simple and easy to install. The only thing I did not like which was my fault was that the lock and handle are only for standard size door thickness of one and three-quarter inches. My door was 2 inches thick. The thick door conversion kit was not readily available and they told me I would have to wait weeks. Considering That my door was wood, are use the router and cut grooves so that my lock and handle set with fit. This is not the right way to do it but I couldn’t wait for thick door conversion kit. Regardless, the lock works very well even though I made a mistake and put the lock upside down. I would break this a 4.5 stars for value considering that the wiser lock after taxes would cost me $60 more. I also have to say that Amazon does provide the best customer service out of any retailer.
