PLAYTEX womens Secrets Underwire Balconette T-shirt Bra for Full Figures (Retired Colors)

I definitely needed some new bras when my old ones were so stretched out in the straps that they wouldn't hold me up well enough no matter how much I tightened them. I used to buy expensive bras but I wanted to look for less expensive options that are still good quality. I've seen Playtex bras in the stores for many years and figured I would check them out. I tried out a different Playtex bra which I didn't like as much so I decided to try this one. I love it so much I ended up purchasing seven of them in different colors!This Playtex bra is exactly the bra I wanted! It is a balconette style, which is perfect if you have shirts that might dip down a bit so you shouldn't have to worry about showing off the bra cups. It has underwire that helps to keep the girls in place and so far, it feels very comfortable. I haven't had any problems with it popping out. The straps and cups are lightly padded, which is just what I wanted. I don't like bras that are heavily padded because I am a 36D and I don't need to add any more bulk on top. It has a triple-hook closure with three hooks for each of the three sizes for a total of nine hooks. The straps are adjustable and the back of the bra seems very breathable and looks like it is made of mesh. This bra is made of a mixture of nylon, spandex, polyester, cotton, and polyurethane foam. Washing instructions say to hand wash cold and line dry. I always throw hand wash items in a lingerie bag in the washing machine, line dry them and I've never had a problem. I've washed these bras a number of times like this and they still are in great condition. These bras are made in Indonesia.As I said, I initially purchased one of these bras and loved it so much, I ordered a total of six more! I have nude, nude jacquard, gentle peach rose jacquard, two mother-of-pearl jacquard, and two black jacquard. I love the print on the latter two colors because it looks like flower petals to me. I love to have black bras for wearing under darker shirts but I also like the light-colored bras for wearing under lighter-colored shirts. I especially love the mother-of-pearl color because it's more of an ivory or bone color and is softer than white but lighter than nude. I loved it so much I bought two of that color!I find these bras very comfortable to wear all day. The underwire is very comfortable and hasn't bothered me at all but I will update this review if that changes. The material is soft and comfortable and supports me well so I don't feel droopy. My old bras had lost their elasticity and I looked like I was sagging but now, I'm perkier and feel more comfortable too. I've always been a 36D and I purchased 36D in these bras which fit perfectly so I feel these bras fit true to size.I love these bras and am glad I finally decided to purchase some new ones! They are comfortable, come in a variety of colors and prints, and are affordable so you can replace all of your old bras if you need to, which is what I did. As long as these bras hold up for a reasonable amount of time, I will continue to purchase them. I will update this review if anything happens to alter my opinion. If you like the lightly-padded, balconette style and don't feel like going to a store to try them on, I highly recommend this bra and to order your regular size!

This bra is absolutely AMAZING for us bigger chested girls! It offers fantastic support while being the most comfortable bra I have ever owned. I have been wearing these bras for over 8 years since my previous go to bra was discontinued at Fredrick's. I used to purchase them at Kohls and JcPenny but they either quit carrying them or the price is $48. These are regularly $19.99 here for the basic black but they have some very pretty colors as well which are slightly more expensive. I keep a few in my cart and when they drop to $17.99 I always grab a few. I wear my bras day and night and this bra is so comfortable I don't even notice i have it on. No cup spillage in the front, no back skin/fat rolls in back. Stays in place. Only a triple clasp so no wide band to irritate your underarm area. Washes up great on gentle with hanging to dry. Runs true to size.If you're looking for the perfect every day, comfortable bra that makes the girls look great, you have to give this bra a try!

I wanted a T-shirt bra since I'm self-conscious about my bust points showing under a solid color knit top, and isn't it an experience trying to find one for larger sizes! Originally I bought this in the same size as my other Playtex bra, style 4422 https://a.co/d/9VXquzN, but with seamless cups, I find that they can have a minimizing effect and needed the next larger size cup. (My experience with minimizers is another story.)The cups are adequate unless you are very cold. ; ) But they are kind of stiff so when folding the bra to put in a drawer or to pack, they don't flatten, and stick out also when air-drying. Someone had mentioned that the cups were conical, but I think that may have been due to her size because mine are just rounded and not the least pointy.I really like the styling. At first I was concerned that the band might flip up, but when I wore the bra all day, it stayed flat and smooth. The straps also stayed in place, not slipping off my shoulders.I like the fabrics used, and the jacquard edging along the neckline and straps is pretty and does not snag clothing. The stretch fabric along the sides and back are smooth and smoothing, and I especially like that the fastening in back is only 3 hooks for D and DD cups. I think that is the sign of a well-designed bra, that it is well-balanced and not completely dependent on the width of the back for supporting the front, nor do the straps dig in.Originally I bought the Sandshell color which is sort of a pinkish-beige while Nude is less pinkish in comparison. Juniper Blue turned out to be darker than expected, but I do like it. Rustic Berry Red I'm not sure about because it's really much more of a reddish or pinkish brown than a deep red.So now I can wear solid color knit tops and not feel self-conscious! 🙂

This is THE perfect bra for me! I love how I look in it! I am a 36 D and it lifts and shapes me like no other bra ever has. I feel amazing in it, dare I say, young again?It has washed and worn well now for many months and I've purchased it in a number of colors. I realize that we are all different and everyone may not have the same results as I have but this is the look I've wished for and not found until now. It's pretty comfortable too, not the "I forget I'm wearing a bra," comfortable, but I don't look like I'm not wearing a bra either so, fair trade. The straps stay in place and don't slip like some other bras I have, (which gets very annoying). I hate it when I start the day with the girls at attention and a few hours later, they're at parade rest! This bra won't do that, and has retained it's support for many, many months. It offers great coverage for t-shirts and sweaters and is worth a try, in my opinion.Prices move frequently on this item, as many others do here on Amazon, and vary by color, design, and size, so watch for the most reasonable if you're bra shopping and interested in this awesome bra.

Remember Sheena the Warrior Princess?This bra could stand up and fight battles all on its own. There is absolutely no give or stretch to it. It’s like putting on one of the couch cushions.THAT SAID, it’s very comfortable, which surprised the helm out of me. Cushy straps, smooth sides. Just that weird fit. If you find one that fits you perfectly you’re going to be very happy. But with no give, there’s a weird little ridge across the top where bra-meets-boob that’s hard to describe. (And no desire to assist you in your own Search For The Perfect Brassiere could convince me to post a picture to replace those thousand words!)Get one, but make sure it’s Prime-able so you can swap for the right band/cup sister size if the usual doesn’t work for you.I promise, once you hit those magic numbers you’ll have a bra that’s comfortable enough to sleep in but keeps the girls up where they’re supposed to be without digging into your shoulders!

It has taken me a long time to find a bra that fits the way I like - including shopping at the store - but this one fits. The band holds nicely against the ribcage and offers real support for larger-chested women. It seems that if you have a larger chest you have to spend an insane amount of money to find a quality bra but that's not the case here. I don't expect it to last for a year given the price but it's extremely affordably priced so I can buy as many as I need. It has thick, supportive cups and a wide band that won't force the straps to do the work. A lot of cheaper bras that come in larger sizes are really flimsy and leave you feeling like your bra is just barely holding on. Also I find that in addition to giving you the coverage and support you need it has little extras like patterns or lace to make you feel pretty. Its both functional and flattering. I am definitely pleased with this bra. The only issue you may have is needing to try a couple sizes. Like a lot of women I can wear a few different sizes depending on the shape of the cups, etc. With this one If I wear my regular size there is an unsightly gap at the top. If you are like me and are more full at the bottom of the breast then keep your band size and go down a cup size so the bra will fit top to bottom. Other than that I would recommend this.

I have a DDD or G cup that is hard to keep perky after 2 kids and 4 years of nursing. THIS IS THE BEST BRA EVER! It puts the girls back up on the pedestal they used to be on and makes me look 15 pounds thinner because of how it shapes and lifts.The center of my breasts are positioned midway between my shoulder and elbow, just like on the model so my small waist is working it again. Droopy boobs add weight to your figure because they hide waist definition, perk them up as shown and you instantly look slimmer.The straps are great, wide without looking like a strait jacket and the material is silky and smooth. It is a surprisingly sexy looking bra for all it does in comfort; I have sexier bras, but they are like stiletto heels, meant to be seen and not worn all day or else you will succum to crippling agony.I got myself some matching silky undies to match and I feel well put together and held well in all the right places. Getting ready in this my hubby said I looked great, he has seen the girls in all stages so I take his compliment as fact :D

I was an avid supporter of the cushion comfort straps in cacique(sp) brand from LB where I am a 36DDD. They were pricey@ $38 each but I used my coupons and sales. They weren't super cute or sexy, but they weren't totally granny-bras and HOLY HILLS were they comfortable. They support and lift but they didn't leave the shoulder dents I used to get from my bra straps.I was so frustrated to find out that they stopped selling them recently since it's so difficult for me to find a bra that not only fits but is comfortable and not totally granny-bras or high priced. I followed the bra sizing feature on Amazon and this bra came up with the Playtex Secrets Body Revelations bra and told me 36DDD would fit. Well, I decided to give it a go when it looked like the straps were similar to the cushioned straps I own and long for. When it arrived I tried it on, the straps (which aren't cushioned) slid right off my shoulders at the tightest fit. the band fit but was snug (ok since that's how all new bras should fit). The cups, however, were odd. Too much room in the upper cup. Honestly I couldn't tell because i had to hold my shoulders in shrug position just to keep the straps up and that changed my bust shape too when you move your pectoral muscles like that. The bra comes up higher that the picture seems and maybe that's why I felt like the fit was a bit weird too. It was as if the top half of my cup was filled with air but the bottom half of the cup held the girls in the right shape. I'm not sure if I got a DD instead of a DDD, if that would change the curve of the underwire to be smaller as well (which would make the fit all wrong) or if it would just change the space in the upper cup. I have to say, I don't usually have an issue of feeling like my chest deflated, but in this bra and in the size recommended by the Amazon Bra size feature, I felt like my chest aged at lease 30+ years. I am returning. If you decide to order, and you wear cacique (sp), order a cup smaller than recommended. Hope that works for you!
