Great stuff
So relatively new to soldering because I recently got into the RC hobby and became pretty necessary for me to learn how to solder. Got a few cars now and they do require quite a bit of soldering once you really get into it so I’ve learned to solder pretty quickly and gone from a cheapo $10 iron to a Weller variable wattage and soon after that to the hakko Fx-888d which I’m happy with. But i started with this solder and didn’t realize how important solder quality is because I bought cheap solder from China recently and the performance of that compared to this was abysmal. I thought if the cheap stuff is that much worse maybe the high quality Kester stuff would be that much better? Nope tried the Kester and love it too but really not much better than this stuff so the quality of this solder in my amateur opinion is on par with Kester. You can see the quality in the photo and the end product looks exactly like the Kester and both look a million times better than the Chinese stuff. You can see how the Chinese stuff had didn’t work as well because when I tried to put a bead of solder on the penny it would start to solidify so I actually had to put the bead of solder on the iron tip and shake it off onto the penny as opposed to directly applying it to the penny which was easy with the better solders. Cheap Chinese stuff wouldn’t even go into 12 guage wire at all, just built up on top of it instead of penetrating the wires even running 100° hotter than I do with this good solder and plenty of flux. The Chinese stuff also looks cloudy after it solidifies which is a sign of bad quality solder. This stuff on the other hand flows great and has a nice shiny polished look when it turns solid. All in all this stuff is great and is seemingly as good as the high quality stuff.

Good value for projects which do NOT require lead-free solder.
Works well for my home & hobby use. NOTE: solder containing lead is becoming less popular w/regulators. Some consumer electronic & other manufacturers now require use of lead-free solder for manufacturing, repair and maintenance. Make sure to follow manufacturers' requirements for your projects.

Old Fashioned Formula, Excellent Quality, Inexpensive
Very good quality. Contains the essential element of Lead. Do not chew, wash your hand when done, avoid breathing the smoke. If you are hysterical and live in California, you may or may not get cancer at one time of your, life. Not necessarily from this product, but from bring hysterical and living in California. BTW, this is a 0.8mm wire. For hand soldering you may want to select a 1.5mm wire. (. 031",. 061 is easier)

It's fine, if you're okay with high melting point
This solder is fine. It does fine, but the only issue I have is that it's melting point is much higher than my previous solder. If you're working on very delicate projects, I'd look elsewhere. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to.
