Good for the money. Don't expect it to be sharp enough for any serious brush cutting when you first get it, you must sharpen it. I sharpened it and stained the handle walnut and I've done a good bit of brush cutting and it holds up strong, even when hitting solid wood, rocks, and dirt. It's also well ballance and you can swing it repeatedly without getting tired due to it not being heavy. The blade is a perfect length for cutting big brush and staying far enough away from the thorns.

Product is as described. Meets expectations but the handle is a bit too short. Overall, not bad.

Decent for the price. This thing is cheap but is made well enough for $20. The handle seems solid and the blade is flexible but not too thin, forward weighted so that you can get some force behind your swings. the cloth sheath is functional, glad it came with something. The edge needs some work as its dull in spots, shouldn't take me more then a few minutes to clean up. Not that you would want something like this to have a razors edge, its for chopping and wouldn't last long. I got this as I needed something long for ice/snow carving, it has worked just fine for that so far. I expect the blade to tarnish as its just carbon steel, but that should be expected.

Good quality product, rigid, and ready to work

The machete arrived extremely dull and unusable. The listing says it’s “ideal for chopping and cutting,” but the blade can’t cut at all. The seller said it wasn’t listed as “sharpened,” which is misleading for a machete.

This machete has a wooden handle and not much embellishment. It wasn’t sharpened so it was almost safe enough for Halloween as is but I had a friend smooth out the edges for safety. It’s a little flimsy but I think they all are.

This machete appears to be made of a decent quality metal, it is very hard metal that is slow to sharpen with a Smith’s coarse stone! Suggest a grinder for initial sharpening because the edge has only been ground enough to appear sharpened! My examples edge was actually flat and was about as sharp as a ball peen hammer! Wooden handle is nicer than most, although it needs to be sanded down on the palm side or filled with wood filler due to the blade being seated below the wood and will wear on your hand quickly! I expect though, with some work this will end up being one of the best machetes I’ve had. I would but again!

I gave it five stars because It's well made, has nice balance, fit the hand well & for the price you can't beat it.
